OWB (1.24/1.3) bugs and feature requests
Home away from home
Home away from home

See User information
Changing this thread to a bug and feature collector for the joy of Andrea and Joerg
(adding reporters if questions arise and for easier bashing)

Bugs:

o Posting an item (amigans.net) will only work if one scrolls down with cursors keys
(mousewheel and dragbar will trigger the infamous "scroll bug") fixed in 1.19 - Raziel
o Links embedded in pictures won't work (i.e. Sand-Labs) - Raziel
o No login possible at http://www.alliance-leicester.co.uk - Cap
o No login possible (worked with older versions) at http://www.bostad.stockholm.se/ - hotrod
o http://www.aftonbladet.se/ clogs up all cpu-cycles AND crashes (?) - hotrod
o Cycle gadgets (amigans.net, eBay) will only work when "double" clicked and with cursor keys - Raziel
o Amigans.net theme chooser is too dark to see - probably related to Ticket111? - Raziel
o Download ignores existing files and silently overwrites them fixed in 1.18 - ShinKurO
o On this site it doesn't update the webcam picture past the second reload
(maybe related to ticket #207 in OWB's bug tracker) - Raziel
o Framesets and/or framed buttons problem on technicon.ac.il and nbache.dk - Jack and nbache

Features:

o DHTML support (?) - poweramiga
o Abort function for Downloads - sofistisoftware
o Bookmarks implemented in v1.24 - LiveForIt
o Enhance DISABLEGIFANIMS so NO anim is played at all - jahc
o MIME types handling - to be used with 3rd party programs - Jack
o ICONIFY option - Raziel
o Clipboard usage (Strg+V/C) partly implemented in v1.23- Mangaclub
o Refresh button (GUI) - Many
o Splash window with certain information - Menthos

It would be nice when the reporters of the ?-marked items
could get back to this thread and explain what they mean
and/or add crash logs and such...thanks

No problems here...

1) Have you installed the new .so that comes with the package
2) Have you set your workbench language to something else than english?

The POST button only works (after PREVIEW) when one scrolls down to the button with CURSOR keys.
Otherwise (Mouse dragging down the bar or using the mouse wheel) the button does nothing ... strange, could be related to the in-program scrolling bug?

edit: That is on amigans.net, of course, sorry

The good news is that it's really stable now and works pretty good . The bad news is that I can no longer log in on this site; http://www.bostad.stockholm.se/ . Posting this in OWB 1.17 .

Edit: Oh no! I browsed the site http://www.aftonbladet.se/ wich has allways been a problem and suddenly OWB stopped responding again using 100% CPU .

Aftonbladet is infamous for its badly written javascript and generally bad design with tons of ads. I even have to turn off javascript in firefox on ubuntu just to make it bearable or else it hogs the cpu.

I agree it's horrible ... This site used to work fine with IBrowse and AWeb some years ago... it looks kind of the same still but there are horrible adds everywhere and it's so slow! I don't know what they did but yes the site is somewhat horrible. I still like the design though but I wish they could take out most/all of the adds from there or use them less.

However javascript isn't the cause for why it stops responding, this doesn't happen under Debian using firefox, opera or konqueror even though it's slow. Also I recently got a DSI error.
