Is anybody using 2560x1080 resolution (21:9) on their NG Amigas with RadeonHD driver

When I use this mode, display is always like this

If I run LinuxPPC on same hardware 2560x1080 mode is displayed properly.

Which type of cable are you using for plugging AmigaNG<->Monitor?

HDMI? try using DVI/VGA
DVI? try using HDMI/VGA
...

Only with that particular resolution? What happens with lower resolutions?

I tried 2560x1440, a bit different vertical, but it gives me the same font-error you have.
Radeon 7750 OEM, DVI -> HDMI cable.

Did you allready try larger fonts ?


I do use UHD resolutions with the RadeonHD driver, but I need to raise all the font sizes in the fontprefs programm, because else they look ugly, just as in your screenshot.

I tried selecting bigger fonts (even 48), but that doesn't help..

I have it on my X5000 with RadeonHD tested with 6570,5450,4650 2560x1080 full enjoyable

X5000/40 16GB
RasperryPi 1-2-3-4-(5)
A500 Mini.

Not sure if this link can help, but it seems to have the latest Firmware for GFX cards. ...use at your own risk.

"GPUZ" (PC software) could be useful to identify firmware.

You probably need to increase the maximum horizontal frequency or pixelclock in the RadeonHD icon tooltype.
A simple calculation says the pixelclock needs to be at least 165888000 (166MHz) and the horizontal frequency 64800Hz.
