Usable IrDA port on A1XE ?

I was looking at my A1XE board PDF manual when I noticed the presence of an IrDA port on it. I'd like to know if this port is working and usable under OS4 ?

EDIT: even if no high level driver exists yet

IrDA port is basically the same as COM port (or seriell port).

You probably need some kind software to use it for what ever you?re thinking of.

If it acts like serial port then all you need to do is open the a1serial.device and the correct unit number.

Oh, I see I didn't understand that way... Would be cool to be able to open a1serial.device unit 3 and opening the onboard IrDA port... interesting idea.

yes or any other remote control because I don't have any CDTV at hand right now, but you got the idea Combined with AllKeys this can be really good thing....
