What are the best SRec settings?

I know full 1080p HD recording is currently out of the question, but are there settings that allows recording at decent frame-rates (e.g., 30 fps) at a lower resolution? If so, what settings do you use?

Incidentally, I remember salass00 working on using Warp3D Nova to accelerate the RGB=>YUV420p conversion, but I can't find that version on GitHub. What happened to it?

No response yet. Anyone still using SRec? Or, anyone who remembers the best settings from back when they used SRec?

In the case of recording Workbench or light system applications on my X1000, I recorded:

AVI
ZMBV
Like WB
1280x720
20fps
Bilinear Filtering on

Of course, when you record more demanding things, eg an image from E-UAE, such settings definitely lack power, so I finally bought an HDMI grabber.

I tend to use SRec for timelapse recording so typically I will record at 1080p but with lower frame rate say 1,2 or 3 fps. This is trivial COPU wise on my X1000.

Having said that on my X1000 I can record 1080 at 10 fps with acceptably low CPU usage.

The end result of that is a little jerky but good enough for demeostrating someting in a tutorial.

Just testing and even 15fps is doable for workbench window related stuff.

For anything better like MUFA I use an EZCap. The biggest advantage of that is getting the right mouse pointers which for me is beneficial as my SketchBlock prgram switches to many custom pointers depnding on context.

Thanks guys. Sounds like recording at round 30fps should be quite doable at lower-resolutions.

I've got an Elgato HDMI capture device, but am still interested in what's possible without it.
