Is it possible to read a Windows formatted hd under amiga os 4.0 ?..

If i put it as slave will it be recognized by the system ? i have to use some particular options ?

I have to recover important data from the hd ( job work, a huge database )..

From what I remember, it is possible to read ntfs but not write to it.

Do a search for it on this site, there were definetly some discussions about it.

Thanks So the only solution is to use a program found on aminet that should read NTFS hd..

I' ll give it a try and let's see what happens..

If you want to use the 68k NTFileSystem or FatFileSystem on OS4 you have to use TD64Patch or they won't work because the a1ide.device and siixxx.device storage device drivers do not support TD64 which is used/required by the above filesystems.

Check the readme and this thread for more detail.

If the Amiga and PC (assuming it's working) are on a network, you can share folders between the 2 using windows file sharing and Samba.

Thanks for the guide i'll surely use it to link amiga and pc togheter

For the hd fortunatly was ok and putting on another pc worked without problem
