Paihia RIP

Smithy has posted over at AmigaWorld that he's had enough.

I can only assume that the delays in hardware has finally taken it's toll on him.

This is such a crying shame.

I'm not a coder (I wish I was) so I don't know if his code can be used in another project..

Maybe into Aweb or Ibrowse ?

Sputnik ?

A shame...

...but, if others told (and were beaten) this ought to
be too big for a one man project, they were right, too bad.

I don't think that the code can be used in an existing
project, stating from the figures i saw from Paihia (and
that was years ago) it was in it's pretty beginnings and
even if it is clean C/C++ and matured in some places i'd
say it's still far behind AWeb and IBrowse.

I'm not badmouthing smithy's work here, he did a
helluva job with Paihia, but this mountain was too big for
one man ... sob

Maybe he likes to join another project?
