Amiga 1200 AGA demo help needed DMS extraction!

Yesterdsay i downloaded the file AGA-POS-ENG.DMS from Aminet. The file seems to be different from a standard adf or lha file.

How do I get this file to disk or run it?? I did have this demo on disk but it sadly failed noty too long ago.

Any help would be much appreciated...

Ok so i have the xdms file. Can someone give me a step by step walkthrough of how to extract my aga-pos-eng.dms file to disk ?

Again, any help would be much appreciated.

Read the xdms.txt file. That should tell you what you need to know.

If you are familiar with adf then use xdms to extract the dms file to an adf file.


From xdms.txt file:

Quote:

xdms u foo.dms

This will unpack the file foo.dms in the current directory and save it as
foo.adf, also in the current directory.


so based on that open a shell and type in:

xdms u AGA-pos-Eng.dms

Cheers Goody...

I unpacked the dms file to an adf and used easyadf to write the file to disk. However still no luck.

The disk does nothing when I put it in the drive. If in workbench and i insert the disk it says ndos under the disk icon...

Very puzzled...any ideas??

Probably you're supposed to boot from the disk.

Ive tried. I put the disk in, swith the 1200 on and nothing happens...

Ive tried it on a couple of new disks and its always the same...puzzling!
