It definitely gets overwritten or even deleted by something.
I assume it's ringhio itself, since most of the XML file "seems" to be the correct format, just with it's default settings, or so it looks.

My backup settings file is 8050 bytes and whenever I get that error on boot, the file size gets cut down to 2600-something.

It's corrupted in the way that ringhio itself claims the file is not ok.

Is there a panic switch in where ringhio creates a default XML file if none is found?
In case the file doesn't get corrupted but simply erased/destroyed/voided or something.
