@All While sorting all the Amiga stuff on HDD, find out that i have 10-20 games from the past which i run from time to time to play in with a childs, but find out that the default icons and dirs i have for them pretty ugly, so want to just find a ready icons/dirs in os4 style (or any other style, but just full-colored ones and looks moderns) for those games:
Agony Aladdin Brian The Lion Cannon Fodder Chaos Engine1 Cool Spot Entity Flash Back Gods Kid Chaos Lion Heart Lion King Mortal Kombat1,2 Road Kill Ruff and Tumble Shadow Of The Beast 3 Slam Tilt Super Frog Super Stardust Walker Worms DC
What i mean is just some big collections for all sort of classic games so they all will looks in the same look and not different mess.
So far, those i checked from os4depot:
From Mason: there no old classic game's icons
from IconDesigner : there find out only for Chaos Engine and Slam Tilt
from cha05e90 : there are no classig-games icons
So far, i find out only s0y_gameicons_2017.lha on os4depot which did contains icons/dirs for:
ChaosEngine SuperStartust Walker Ruff&Tumble
But not for others.
I am sure we do have something already, maybe someone can point out me on some archive on os4depot having that ?
Most if not all icons there are only for modern games for OS4, and only a few spared are for classic.. so no, if you want modern OS4 style icons for older classic games you have to ask someone to do so, otherwise maybe have a look on Aminet, there should be for sure something of the old era
kas1e, a small gift for your baby, I created the icons you requested in stilie OS 4.1, I hope they are to your liking, unfortunately there are no nice images to capture :)
@AMIGASYSTEM Thanks ! Directories good !:) Small mistake through : there are no Ruff&Tumble dir, instead the Brian The Lion one.
Maybe you can also make icons for the binaries too ?:) I of course can make myself just shots from menu/gameplay for 2 states, but maybe you can make something better ?:) Like the Heroes from the games without rectangle areas ?
Download the new corrected archive (same link), yesterday was late, blame sleep and my old age (I am 69 Years old)
For Binary yes I can create them, I usually use a white background, you can see it in the attached screenshot, they are the little games chosen by me for my Distribution "AROS One x86 and 68k".
I believe these games also exist for OS4 and therefore exploitable, they only change the folders but I can create them OS4.1 style
AROS One x86 Icons are Pure DualPNG, different from OS 4.1 Icons which are in PowerIcons Style, DualPNG are also supported by OS4.1
@AmigaSystem Thanks, redownloaded archive with Dirs icons : all fine now.
What I mean by “heroes” on the dirs/icons, is to make them, like you do with Kid Chaos and Entity. But with circles it also looks fine enough, of course.
I find out on os4depot in some archive from s0y (seems an Italian user as well) icons for ChaosEngine, RuffnTumber, SuperStardust, Walker,WormDC and SlamTilt, check this out how they looks like:
(hit open in new tab for full size)
Can't say what ones are better, be it circles or plain heroes, it looks good in both ways..
I add the circle to better highlight the images, which should be as large as possible.
For binaries, on the other hand, I choose the White background to better focus the image, and for a matter of aesthetics "all the same size," which are then similar to those used on cell phones.
My icons are all handmade, I use a simple Graphics Editor on PC and then create Icons with Icon Editor OS3, for AROS One and AfA One icons, and Icon Editor OS4 for OS4.1 icons, Icon Editor also exists on AROS.
Yes, although the circle brings more time for creation, each time you have to find a circle that matches the background otherwise it is ugly to look at.
Frames to square images are also beautiful under certain circumstances
If you try my AROS One x86 you will see many types of Icons, AROS One needs no installation, from a Virtual Machine, you can start it in 50 seconds.
If you burn the USB image, you can boot the pendrive in 1 Minute on any supported PC.
I attach small video showing how to install AROS One on WMware, and then following in the video, one click replacement of all system icons within seconds, about a thousand :)
I love everything that belongs to the Amiga world, so do you already know AROS One ? if you have never tried it, it is worth trying it, of course I would only like a judgment even if it is negative.
I Love AROS because I am free to create or modify in freedom without having contention from anyone, on AROS One besides all the Icons, many configurations I created.
I am not a developer but I like to be a betatester and maybe give my small contribution since I have so much experience on Amiga and other OS.
Some time ago I had also created a Distro based on OS 3.9 BB4 (AfA One), but then some software became commercial and I preferred not to do it anymore.

I am not a graphic designer, but I enjoy creating Icons Themes and much more, always all by hand.
For preparing the images, I use a on PC free version of Photofiltre, simple and functional Graphic Editor.
Created the Images I paste them on the empty icon base, then on OS3, OS4 or AROS with IconEditor I create the Icons adding the various effects or Glow.
I created a small video summarizing the various steps to create the icons, in the video I used OS3 AfA One because it is very fast.
The attached (download) video is Zip compressed, only 10 MB, but quality
When I will also create the binary icons I will upload the archive with the Icons to OS4Depot, I hope there will be no problems since I used the base of the native OS4 Icons.
Eventually if I have some free time, I will create more icons for the most representative OS3 games, such as Another World, Prince Of Persia, Arkanoid etc..
I also started making Binary icons, as soon as I find some time I will create more icons.
There are so many Amiga games creating all the icons is almost impossible, but with time I would like to create icons for the most representative games.
If you have any special requests I will be happy to accommodate you.
