For what it's worth, Updater runs fine on my X1000 with the latest newlib. The first time I tried it it took a long time to fetch the update data (a couple of minutes), but every try since then has only taken a short time, as normal. So most likely just an Internet/server glitch the first time.

Nope AEON/KIT has probably not tested their software with different newlib.
there might be bug in newlib as well, who knows 53.80 was one fixed corruption in gadgets,
after installing latest driver.

So looks like something else on your system or a corrupt file
may be causing your problem .

nothing else is crashing, and I have disabled allmost everything.
in wbstartup prefs, and disabled notifications.

but its clear it from logs it crashing almost at the same plases in updater, if source code was open I can look at it and fix it.

A debug version with lots of logging be useful to find this bugs.
I think its highly likely there some none initialized variables or pointers.

Right now it seems to be an issue unique to you .

Have you tried replacing the Updater program file with a fresh copy from the installer archive ?
Just to rule out the Updater having been corrupted on installation

Updater 53.73.

AmIStore v0.664

If you did not keep a copy of the Enhancer 2.2 archive you can download it again via AMIStore .

I don’t think that’s the problem, if was corrupted archive, or file, I have same problem all the time, not at random.

Of course random crashes can be contributed hardware problems, like bad PSU or RAM, or a heat problem, but then I see problem in other software as well. And I don't.
