Request to MorphOS users

I have a little request for someone using MorphOS (SDK installed, but not mandatory)

I'd like to ask to try two different commands in shell:

The first one
Quote:

date "+%d.%m.%Y"

and the second one (you probably need the sdk installed for that)
Quote:

gdate "+%d.%m.%Y"

If the first one breaks with something like this
Quote:

DATE: Bad args
- use DD-MMM-YY or <dayname> or yesterday etc. to set date.
- use HH:MM:SS or HH:MM to set time.

and the second one displays the correct date (like below) is all i need to know.
Quote:

01.11.2021

Thank you in advance

Hi, here is my output. I have lastest SDK installed.

Quote:

Ram Disk:> date "+%d.%m.%Y"
***Bad args:
- use DD-MMM-YY or <dayname> or yesterday etc. to set date
HH:MM:SS or HH:MM to set time
Ram Disk:> gdate "+%d.%m.%Y"
gdate: Unknown command

Thank you.

Could you take a look in SDK:local/c and see if gdate is available?

I have no SDK:local/c but SDK:gg/bin/ (and also "gg:bin" and "bin:" assigns). No gdate command there but there is date. Your command works with this but not with the one in C:

Quote:

Ram Disk:> version c:date
Date 50.6
Ram Disk:> c:date "+%d.%m.%Y"
***Bad args:
- use DD-MMM-YY or <dayname> or yesterday etc. to set date
HH:MM:SS or HH:MM to set time
Ram Disk:> version System:Development/gg/bin/date
Could not find version information for 'System:Development/gg/bin/date'
Ram Disk:> System:Development/gg/bin/date "+%d.%m.%Y"
01.11.2021
Ram Disk:>

Ah, i see.
MorphOS comes with a different SDK setup.

That solves my problem.

Thank you very much
