KB - Amiga Cut&Paste

@All,

I have this nice wireless Keyboard which works great with AOS4_Final... Except I can't Cut&Paste !
Normally, I would do [Right Windows Key]+C... But there is no [Right Windows Key] on that Keyboard... How can I assign it to another key ?

I'm sure I did that before on a CLassic Amiga (OS3.9) but I just can't remember how...

Thanks.

Jerry

You need to set kbddev_norwin 1 in U-Boot (you can do it in U-Boot prefs IIRC) if it is a PS/2 keyboard, however...

...if it is a USB keyboard, then I'm not sure. There are some env-vars that allow you to switch qualifiers but I don't know if they do the Amiga keys.

edit just found this on another thread (thanks Severin!):

Quote:

To set the menu/start key to R-Amiga use:

setenv save usb/hid-keyboard/rgui 0x00070076

To use the right control as R-Amiga use:

setenv save usb/hid-keyboard/rgui 0x000700E4

This information should be in the Documentation drawer on the OS4 CD.

@Chris

Where do you think I got the information from?

the kbddev_norwin 1 var works with usb keyboards too. That info in the other thread is for a specific keyboard (logitech Y-RAK73) which has a weird menu key mapping DO NOT use it on other keyboards.

I tried "kbddev_norwin 1" (selecting the box in UBoot prefs)... But it didn't seem to work !

Then I had another Boot Block error on my HDD... I'm going to teach it how to fly this weekend !

Did you remember to set all the DMA stuff up correctly after you replaced the battery?

If it's wrong, that could cause big problems..

Don't forget you need to do a full reboot (ctrl-alt-alt) before any uboot changes will be recognised.
