would be great if you can get a scan done when you have time (even a few sections at a time as time permits is cool) ....
mines only v2 2D only but I'm sure your v4 manual will come in handy..many thanks for the offer
Perhaps it would be better to ask Mr. Koruk for permission or if he can provide a copy - in my mail to him I linked this thread...
That sounds great! I'll wait for his reply. (Many years ago I tried to find Ditek International, name on DynaCADD, but failed.) Regards, . . JCC

I have a manual for DynaCADD 4, but don't want to give it up (because it is the best CADD program for non-architectural use on the Amiga).
I could try scanning it to PDF - but it would be big!

@ChrisH
I use FTPMount (on OS4 now, and OS3.x in the past) for most FTP access and really enjoy the ability to treat FTP site as dirs on my computer: - Drag-and-drop files and directories - Use shell/ARexx scripting It has weaknesses, like file type scanning (Tip: turn DefIcons OFF! That will eliminate the file type scan delay).
FTPMount seems to perform a direct remote file move if that command is issued from the shell, without copying the files to your computer! About 12 years ago I had to rearrange files on an FTP server at the office using Win98 & WsFTP. The down-upload copy-and-delete was very slow, even with a T-1 line. That evening I decided to test FTPMount and scripted a "move source to dest" for the whole dir tree. It ran quickly on my 56k dial-up connection. Conclusion: the files weren't up/downloaded through my Amiga.

Cool, how did I miss that? (I always fount ASSIGN xxx DISMOUNT both counter-intuitive and incomplete because it only removes the Doslist entry.)

A fix for such programs could be a start time delay of some sort. That is the solution I use for AmDynDNS (Update IP address on dydns.com - on Aminet), and AmiVNC4 (VNC server - on OS4Depot). Another option would be to put AddNetInterfaces into a script that also sets a global environment variable or opens an ARexx port, and use it as a semaphore. Regards, ~ JCC

Has anyone tried reading or deleting cookies in the cookie file, cookieCollection.db? (A quick look into the file indicates it is "SQLite format", and there is a version of SQLite on OS4Depot.)

That sounds like a fun idea, and it ties in well with my unofficial cost-of-living index for a small gift: an amount of money sufficient to buy a large (NY) pizza and something to drink with it.

@Slayer I have used AmiDVD to make image files for DVDs. The image must be saved on an SFS or JXFS partition. (Unfortunately AmiDVD doesn't seem to like my DVD writer, so I still have to use Frying Pan to burn it.) The latest version of AmiDVD is available here: http://strohmayer.org/sfs/Regards, - JCC

@freddix
There's an article I read in an old issue of (the now defunct) Dr. Dobb's Journal that addresses a similar problem: run-time array allocatiob in C. It uses single/nested pointers in a way that creates 1/2D arrays which can be allocated on-the-fly, and can be used anywhere normal 1D and 2D arrays are used. The code doesn't include array extension, but they can be de-allocated and re-allocated during run-time, and the code could probably be modified to permit array extension.
It's too much code to in-line here; I'll send it if you are interested.

@ssolie My solution is similar to RacerX and kvasir. - Remove the R/L Windows key symbols with acetone (nail polish remover). - Print R/L style italic "A" on a transparent mailing label. And use the rest of the labels for your Christmas card list Regards, . . JCC

@lumby
I'd love to test this version on my router, but the bug that was introduced somewhere since 3.7 continues to prevent login (I'm posting here while waiting for OS4depot registration - then I'll use the bug tracker).
Under 3.7, logging in with a null user ID works: http://:{password}@{URL} It doesn't work with 3.12 (or 3.11). I have both 3.7 and 3.12 on my system and have tested them side-by-side.
My system: AmigaOne XE/G4 with OS 4.1
