@smf "The one on Aminet is older" Crumbs! you're right, (must pay more attention), Good solution to solve it, though it would be better if both of them were up to date and complete.

@Chris Yam works fine for me too, but I'm talking about checking VM's spam folder to fish out the emails that should'nt have gone in there and you can only do that with a browser.
Plus I prefer to "inspect" the dodgy ones on their machine, instead of downloading them to mine. Draby

@StantheAmigaMan The OS4Depot version is missing 5 MB of files, this one is complete I've just tried it: http://os4.aminet.net/search?query=timberwolfSomething I have found with TimberWolf, is that it works better if you go through the settings (options) and disable any update checks, the Google start page, also avoid adding any extensions. Call me crazy... but I'm also in the habit of watching the hard drive light to make sure this "monolith" of a program has finished loading. Sadly, if I want to access my webmail, (VirginMedia) with an Amiga, this is the only way. Draby

@StantheAmigaMan Hi, I've no idea why my printer is labelled 8615, the software (webserver) and manual refer to it as 8610, According to the user guide (page 182) they have a PCL3 GUI. Network: Using this; http://os4depot.net/share/utility/print/lpr_dev.lhaplace the device in SYS:Devs, you will also need a small config file in SYS:Prefs/Env-Archive. Type into an editor, HOST "IPaddress your printer" RAW, this is mine, "HOST 192.168.0.4 RAW" and save it as "lpr.device". In SYS:Devs/NSDPatch.cfg (scroll to the bottom) the last two lines are modified to this: DEVICE parallel.device UNIT 0 MAPTODEVICE lpr.device MAPTOUNIT 0 MACHINE=AMIGAONE DEVICE a1parallel.device UNIT 0 MAPTODEVICE lpr.device MAPTOUNIT 0 MACHINE=AMIGAONE In SYS:Prefs/Printer, for Port device: I have lpr.device selected, as I'm using Turboprint I've left the printer driver as "Generic". Oh, and if you want to connect to the printers Webserver via an amiga, Odyssey crashes the printer, Timberwolf does not. Hope this helps, Draby

Hi, TurboPrint 7.60 has a PCL driver, which means it will work with modern printers that can use it, in TP prefs I selected HP_DeskJet5550 as it uses the PCL driver and has hi-resolution settings (4800dpi).
I've used this with an HP2575 all-in-one (now faulty), but am currently using a HP OfficeJet Pro 8615, though I wish I'd bought something smaller, in TP prefs/config I found that a paper type has to be selected as "auto" crashed things.
Both of these were/are network connected using lpr.device, so things aren't quite as bad as they appear. Draby

@ Thread
No one seems to have mentioned the fact that Odssey has a prefs window for search engines. Right click at the top of Odssey's window, cursor down the menu to windows then cursor across to "search engines", you will be able to add, remove and of course edit them. Also there is a short cut which can be used to force your search engine of choice in the URL bar, for instance " a dogs " without quotes, will provide you with all that Aminet knows about dogs.

@ChrisH Works here too, though I'm using the URL settings window to spoof as "Ipad" and am able to play the video in link two, and audio in link three.

Hi, my "au log" shows a 404 error and entering "update.amigaos.net" into a browser brings up a Ferrari 328 registration site. Draby

@satiropan Hi, Sorry to hear about the dead ETH3COM, did you happen to see this post: http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.b ... wtopic.php?p=17066#p17066by @Evilllord68, some useful info about DMA on the SE including a link to a driverpack created by Stephane Guillard specifically to deal with the SE's DMA problems, ( I'm using it at the moment without any sign of trouble ) I thought that if you can improve the onboard ide's speed, that would free up a pci slot for your Ethernet card. @Antique +1 @LiveForIt G3SE OS4.1-U6 1Gb ram: Original Kingston ram + Crucial ram. 2 Hard drives + 2 Optical drives connected to internal ide (DMA4), ide driver courtesy of Stephane Guillard. USB using generic pci card. All pci slots functional. Your impression of the SE in 2012 seems to be a few steps behind reality.

@satiropan
Hi, you could always start again from scratch. Goto SYS:prefs/internet delete your existing ETH3COM interface (and the rtl8139 if it's still there), then goto SYS:Internet/New Connection and use the "Wizard" to create a new ETH3COM interface, I usually select "Manual Configuration" on the next page. Hmm, I see what you mean, try "copy image" and look for the JPG in Ram:Clipboards, from there Multiview displayed it, also I was able to load it into ImageFX and PerfectPaint. Although it's only black and white did the "text" option create a pdf ? Regards

@ sicky Hi, if it's like my HP all in one, then try entering your printers IP address into OWB which should bring up it's webserver, hopefully, listed under Applications you should see "scan" if so, that should give you some options to play with. On mine selecting "Text" creates a PDF stored wherever you've set OWB to save downloads to. Regards Draby

@Varthall Hi, as a quick check of the differences between both boards here is a good view of the SE: http://intuitionbase.com/gfx/SEPics/a1boardse2.jpgIf the other SE owner is unable to help, I should be able to create a snap of that area of the SE that measurements can be taken off, by using a piece of graph paper with a "window" in it, placed over that area as a reference.
