MUIOWB Version 1.9
Just popping in
Just popping in

An article on Intuition Base about web browsers mentions MUIOWB version 1.9 and indicates that it can be found on OS4Depot.net but it does not seem to be there. Can someone tell me why?

Re: Problem with latest versions of OWB

@kas1e

I have tried deleting the cookie files and then restarting OWB without any success. I have heard that the latest versions of OWB (those that use the "cookieCollection.db" files use a cookie engine called IIRC. Is there anything that I should have done to "install" IIRC in order to get it functioning properly?

Problem with latest versions of OWB
Just popping in
Just popping in

I have been using OWB on my uA1c with OS4.1 for quite some time. I recently downloaded and tried the latest version (3.21) and although it works for browsing most web sites, I discovered that I can no longer successfully log onto my account with my local credit union. What happens is that I go to the credit union's web site, enter my username and password, and then the credit union's web site throws up another screen in which it asks me to answer one of several security questions. After answering the question, another screen is displayed saying that it cannot connect me.

I have just completed a series of tests and can report that OWB versions 3.11, 3.13, and 3.15 all work just fine, and I can connect to my credit union and manage my account. However, versions 3.17, 3.19, 3.20, and 3.21 all fail when trying to connect to my credit union. The versions which work (3.11, 3.13, and 3.15) all use a file called "cookieCollection.txt" whereas the later versions which are giving me trouble use a file called "cookieCollection.db".

Can anyone give me any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this or is this a bug that needs to be addressed?

@nbache

I'll give your example of starting OWB with a url a try.

Regarding the reply problem, I guess I was asleep that day and forgot to login.

Thanks.

starting OWB with a URL

I am trying to start OWB version 1.24 and supply a URL as the home page. I have tried things such as:
owb boot:myfile.html
owb file:///boot:myfile.html
and a few other variations without any luck. Can someone enlighten me with an example of how to start owb with a file as my home page.

On a slightly different topic, I have yet to figure out how to reply to a message here. I can't seem to find a reply button.

Thanks.

Problem trying to run OWB
Just popping in
Just popping in

I have read and followed the OWB Installation Manual that Origin wrote, but am having a problem. I have skipped (for the moment) the optional section 2.5 installing fonts. I just want to see it working first. I believe that I have done everything else indicated in the manual. When I type "OWB" into a shell from the directory where OWB is located, a window comes up that is labeled "ELF Library" which contains the message "Unknown/unsupported Reloc". I'm guessing that this is trying to tell me that there is probably some other piece of software or library that is needed that I either do not have or is not up to date. Can someone please enlighten me?

Thanks.
Ned
