Can we confirm this issue has only impacted people that have downloaded the update from Hyperion and tried to manually install (vs using the AmiUpdate tool)?

It would be good to narrow it down to 1) specifically X5000, and 2) upgrades that were done without using AmiUpdate

@joerg thanks for the response. I'll never understand why I can't just buy a digital copy direct from Hyperion. I guess this project is on hold for me...

Anyone know where I can buy a copy of AmigaOS4.1FE for AmigaONE XE? Or Pegasos II or Sam460ex? I can't find these CDs for sale anywhere and I need to use them to make Kyvos work. Ugh frustrating.

Ah, thanks. Ok. I didn't see anywhere in the readme where it says I need to install any external things but I probably skimmed through it wrong. So yeah, if that's the case, this one's on me lol.

Thanks! I actually got it to install - my issue was I was mounting the ISO from a USB stick. When I copied the ISO to my hard drive and mounted it there, the installation worked as expected.

Now the issue is actually running it. It fails to apply the icons with an ambiguous error message. I'll see if I can snoop the process to determine what's going on.

I installed FEu3 last night successfully. Today I wanted to install Infinite Icons v1.1, so I copied my ISO to a USB drive, put it in my X5000, mounted the drive, mounted the ISO inside, and ran the installer. It freezes right at the point where you are supposed to click 'Next' to begin the installation. Has anyone else run into this?

Congrats! I love my X5000. It's my second - the first one I sold when I was in a financial pinch, but this one you'll have to pry from my cold dead hands :P You're going to love this computer. I'm happy for you.

Congrats on the X5000. I'm on my second - I bought one years ago, loved it, sold it, regretted it, bought a new one, and still have that one to this day. It's a lovely machine and I enjoy it.

Where can one purchase these as ebooks? I don't see them for sale on Amazon, which is typically where I try to find things (in order to have them consolidated in my Kindle library).

I can't contribute to the poll but I purchased it and plan to use it on my X5000. I'd love to play it on my WarpOS/Warp3D enabled A4000 as well, but I don't know how well it would perform if at all possible in the first place, so the X5000 it is for me :)
