That should also go to those who own more than one Amiga-One! Why not lend one out to those active developers or just those who'd like to give it a try!

@MamePPCA1 http://www.titan.co.nz/amigaak/AA020832a.htmThis link helped me probably the most. I only managed to get MOL working using a pegxmac installation (which is a seperate Knoppix linux distribution that launches directly MOL). There's a torrent of pegxmac for A1 still out there. But several people have it working under Sarge i've noticed. Good luck.

@MamePPCA1
word of warning;
I managed to install debian linux, and mol 9.2, but to be honest, there are too many obstacles on the road to completion. Unless you're a super linux-user, I'm going to guess that you will end up sitting for hours, frustrating hours trying to overcome a simple little problem.
If you have a PC, it's much easier to setup linux on that. And Linux would run 10xtimes better on that than on the old and sluggish PPC A1-C. from my personal experience...
of course, if you're really an incarnated AmigaOne user like me, you will use those hours, and you will get it working...mainly just to realize the dream of being completely independent of a PC.
but if you have access to a PC at home, there's not much reason to install Linux nor Mac.

Using the PCI slot in A1-C for GFX - Possible?

I've acquired a neat little converter box for about 35UKP that does VGA-output > SVHS, this way I have a TV-Out solution for OS4.
Since AmigaOS supports multiple screens so well, I'd love to be able to get a 2nd GFX card for my A1-C...
I've heard something about UBOOT doesn't support this, but also conflicting rumour that someone had got a ATI 9250 running on the A1-C PCI.
any user experiences that could shed some light on it?

@poweramiga
timing wouldn't be bad for me as i've used the last few days getting MOL working excellent with OS9 and all of the classic games like SimTower, SimFarm and even the newer ones like Tropico, Civilization III, Heroes of Might and Magic III which all runs quite nice on my A1-C!
So bring it on ;)

Decided that it was time that i write my first academic paper using my Amiga-One. This should be possible with the usage of the excellent X11 solution with AbiWord :) Abiword have all those features that i require, except spellcheck in english. It seems you have to compile those yourself...and hence this request: Did anyone compile this dictionaries yet? included is only german (from abiword on os4depot) Cheers, Haymigga All languagues (almost) can be found here ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/dict

Any feedback?
@abalaban
is reading NTFS drives still working for you fine under OS4 final?
I tried to get it to work on IDE port today, but no luck. Perhaps you could give a hint?

@All Challenge beat my record in AsteroidsTR and I will forever & always be greatly impressed by you ;) It's a great shoot-em-up game in the likes of WBAsteroids, and it runs really nicely on OS4. Atleast it did on Update4, haven't checked for a long time as I have no incentive as i'm number 1 in the online hi-score list! Get it here! www.hd-rec.de under "other" and scroll down...

If i use my mixer to turn down the Master Level down while playing a song, if i then pause using the daemon command pause and unpause, then the song will continue at a much higher volume setting. How come?

abalaban: i like people believing in me ;)
I'will probably try this method of yours soon as well, one thing you could check is perhaps whether the display of my 4.5GB ISO's as 2.0GB in both AOS4 + DIR-OPUS has something to do with L:NTFSfilesystem or my OS4 installation?
edit: i guess this is some 32/64 bit limitation...so using TD64 will solve it?

Check this screenshot of NTFS if you don't believe me... It's a Lacie Mobile 2.5 USB box, installed with a 10GB drive formatted just an hour ago in WinXP as NTFS. Then connected to my A1 frontpanel USB. Using giggledisk to find HIGH CYL as seen in screenshot,edited the mountfile as seen and mounted it with c:mount! And it works! Check grab... www.haymigga.dk/ntfs_os4.pngjust noticed that the 4.5GB debian ISO files are show as only 2GB, i guess this is Opus fault? or?

Can anyone test this?
I can't get it to work in new version, not sure if it has been fixed to now work?
I can actually play mp3's with AmigaAmp + ANR with FTPMOUNT, though not skip inside the song...
