@Billsey This is just another one of the illuminati's "HEGELIAN DIALECTIC" games to remove more freedoms from the people of the world. They set up a "Thesis" which is opposed by an "Antithesis", they then supply the "Synthesis". i.e. "Thesis" = The USA has to protect its citizens and all freedom loving citizens of the world from the "bad" guys. "Antithesis" = Iran, the bad guys who's aim in life is to destroy the freedoms of all people in the USA and the world. "Synthesis" = The solution we are given is war must be declared and the "bad" guys must be removed, and "safeguards must put in place to assure that this won't happen again." As can be seen, those in positions of power control the "Thesis", "Antithesis", and "Synthesis", and guess who ALWAYS looses freedoms, the dumb peasants who clamber behind their leaders blindly. Unfortunately even those with there eyes wide open loose freedoms too. As for the "safeguards" mentioned in the "Synthesis", these cause loss of freedoms, as happened after 9/11. i.e. The patriot act 1&2 etc. The aim of all this is to concentrate more and more power into the hands of fewer and fewer people. With the ultimate outcome been a world government (Dictatorship) and loss of freedom for all. Cheers, Tim

@AmiKit It looks like you are experiencing "Brown-out" conditions from a low battery. Replace the battery, all should then be fine.
There is a problem with some XE boards that cause the battery to discharge via the PCI bus. This could be the problem with your display card?
Cheers, Tim

If its released this year with OS4.0, I want one. Hope Hyperion and the Dev's of OS4.0 are not steam-rolled by the court case, and Amiga Inc's. new money. An honorable agreement must be reached by all involved, as a lot of hard work has gone into OS4.0. Business is more than just legal documents, moral issues are just as important. Cheers, Tim

@Ferry 1.2.2 of FP is faulty, I've gone back to 1.2, and no problems. Haven't tried 1.2.3 yet, as I wasted to many CD-R's with 1.2.2. Cheers, Tim

Some interesting news from PA-Semi. New dual core PPC platform available. http://www.pasemi.comQuote: P.A. Semi Successfully Develops the Most Power-Efficient High-Performance Processor Ever Designed. Announces 100 Initial Customer Engagements for its Ground-breaking PWRficientTM Processor; Global Distribution Channel, Comprehensive Development Tools, Sales and Support Infrastructure.
http://www.pasemi.com/news/pr_2007_02_05b.htmlQuote: Operating system (OS) support for the dual-core device includes Linux, QNX Neutrino and VxWorks. Other standard OSs are running in the lab, and support will be announced when validation is complete.
I wonder if Amiga OS is one of the "other" Os's running in the lab? Here are the specs for the ATX motherboard. Dual-CPU 64-bit Power Platform Processor Electra Board http://www.pasemi.com/downloads/PA_Semi_Electra_Brief.pdfQuote: P.A. Semi has partnered with Wind River so that its Workbench On-Chip Debugging Edition IDE supports multicore debug on the PA6T-1682M device. Wind River provides WorkBench OCD support for both Linux- and VxWorks-based platforms, Wind River ICE, and Wind River Probe.
I think Amiga inc. Should have a chat with "Wind River" over there use of the trademark "Workbench". (page 2 of pdf) Cheers, Tim

Look in Sys:libs for "expat2.library", if it is there, delete it. You are having a clash with FryingPan:Libs/expat2.library. Also look for old "optical" files lying around, and delete them. This sorted my problems out. Cheers, Tim

First I would download the ISO and burn to CD, so that I can use OS4.0 final straight away, then pay for and request an official package. (Manuals too please) I still have all the manuals for all my computers, except the Ohio Superboard II. The Sinclair QL "File" was lovely to use. The Only way to code is with paper manuals next to the computer plus a blank A4 notepad. Cheers, Tim
