Hi Klapdeur Have a look over on www.amibay.com , theres usually people on there selling or put up a "Wanted" ad if you cant see one for sale. One other thing, you location on your profile might help anyone local to you who is looking to sell :) Quote: klapdeur wrote: Hi guys im looking for a gfx board for a amiga 4000 .

Quote: ChrisH wrote: @Tajmaster Why do you want a RadeonHD card anyway? The Sam440's Radeon 9250 (built-in or otherwise) is pretty good, and actually has working 3D!
If you have a non-Flex Sam440 (I forget) then it only has 64MB of Graphics RAM, which can be a little limiting (and cause massive slow-down in the worst case), but with a little tweaking to settings it should be fine (IMHO).
Hi Chris Im just curious as to whether it will work to be honest. Ive got a 9250 Radeon on my SAM Flex 733Mhz and never thought it was "slow" but with this new driver around its nice to know it will work should the need arise

The card in the link above is actually PCI so there would be no need for an adapter or a PCIe version of the card :)

LOL! Rich?!Oh yeah, its a requirement to be into Amigas isnt it The graphics card is £50 buy itself off eBuyer, and I hardly use my Amigas any more so I dont think Ill invest for now, perhaps in the future when its confirmed it will work though :)

Ahh, mines 64bit It matters little however, I got a new case for my SAM and it needs a low profile graphics card so Im on the look out for a suitable ATi Radeon now :) Ill be sure to look for a 128Bit 9000 Pro if I can find one.

yeah, it's brutally slow on my SAM as well. the friedens did mention it would be poky -- but, yeah, i wouldn't call it usable on our SAMs. on the plus side progress has been made, and it does seem much more complete than the previous release. i reckon us poor-ol' SAM folk will need to wait for future releases before we can hop on the timberwolf train.
by the way, at least on my SAM, the entire system seems to slow to a crawl when timberwolf is running. i'm not running out of memory or forcing active swapping, so i wonder if there is some while loop spinning somewhere eating up all of the available CPU cycles.

Thanks for posting that mate, its reassuring to know its not just me My system didnt seem to clow to a crawl though, however I didnt really do much while basking in the glory of Firefox on Amiga!

Ive tried it on my SAM440 733Mhz and it renders pages perfectly! However it is VERY slow, pages like Google take a quite few seconds to come up and responding to threads on forums is weird as I am typing and then watch the text slowly pop up on the screen :-s
A guy on Amibay has a MicroA1 @800Mhz, he sent me a video of his running through a few of the same things, but his is much faster?! I realise this is beta but anyone got any ideas as to why its THAT slow?

Is this the right type: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Ati-Rad ... ds_TW&hash=item3f06d731e5I think the one pictured is a 5v card so I would email him and ask him to confirm if its 3.3v if its the right type of card? One other question is, I would have thought (by the numbering) that a 9250 is faster, why is the 9000 the better card??

So the 9000 Pro is actually faster than the 9250??!
Is there any planned support for other ATi PCI-based cards for SAM users?

Thanks for the response fellas Im aware of the differences between PCI and PCIe, what I meant was does the driver care whether its plugged into either interface? Im sticking with the 9250 for now, Im just settling in with the SAM so Ill be posting many more n00b questions! LOL! Thanks again BTW Chris, Ive got Update 4 with RunInUAE, brilliant work mate!! And THANK YOU, its really essential to anything next generation that wants to have anything to do with the name Amiga

Does it matter that my SAM is PCI and the 460 and x1000 are PCIe? Im only just getting into OS4 so Im just curious about all this at the moment, anything to squeeze an extra bit of performance out of it! LOL!

I dont feel its lacking but I saw this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product ... a8d6e6a8deb6efdaa4619222aNow thats much better than my Radeon so Id like to know if it will work Thanks, Taj
