I'm trying to estimate the number of Commodore Amiga 4000T produced (not the AT models), by collecting the serials. There's a thread here where I enter the serials. You can post your serial here or post it directly in the thread at BBoAH. If you visit a foreign speaking forum (french, italian, hungarian etc.) could you please post a message there about this thread.

A small forum has now been added to the site - hopefully that makes it easier to correct/ enhance the articles in the database.

Since the original Amiga-hardware.com is not longer maintained and the english bboah.com, hasn't been updated for a while (bboah.de is still updated though), a new english mirror has been created: http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.comThe site is currently beeing updated with new items, and old entry's are being updated with changes / additions. Hardware not listed or missing information about existing entries are very welcome.

My sons HTC Wildfire smartphone, got in with the laundry and was washed for a few hours in the washing machine.
Took it apart - dried and started it up. Phone worked, but not the display - got a replacement LCD from china ($12) put in in, and the phone works again.
So it seems that electronis have a good chance of surviving water - I have even seen people washing motherboards.

After a bit of testing the conclusion is, that it's only some of the "builtin" backdrops that has a problem. They work when they are applied, but after reboot they corrupt. But I've found a backdrop that works now - problem solved so far.

Backdrop disapears

Recently my backdrop started disapearing after reboot. If I select a new backdrop or apply a Theme, the backdrop shows as it should. But after reboot it's gone, and the desktop is black - but everythin else is on the desktop.
Anybody else experienced the same?

I had my for sale a few months ago (on ebay and some Amiga sites) - Sam flex 800 Mhz. I think the price was around £400 (ex shipping from Denmark) - I had no inqueries for it...
So I don't think you can get much for it - I chose to keep mine.

From Calligra wiki ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calligra_Suite): Quote: Calligra Suite heavily relies on Qt and therefore can be ported to any platform compatible to Qt with relative ease.

Classifieds section of Amigans.net - not used?

Why isn't the classifieds section used (I'm the only one with an ad currently). Maybe the section would be used more if ads was "promoted" on the left or right pane of Amigans.net (just like on AW.net) - for example below "top posters" and "new members"? Or is the low number of classifieds a sign that Amigans are very satisfied with their equipement?
