. . . and now it's just a week away! Love the poster by Mr. Toast as well! I will see everyone there this year and renew my Amigan friendships. See you at the show!

@redfox

In support of Joerg and his great contribution to the Amiga community, I add my (small) voice as a representative of those (whom I believe to be legion) throughout Amigadom who simply click open OWB and use it. I'm rather tired of having to slog through "features" on other web browsers. All I want is a way to access web pages on my favorite platform - the Amiga.

So please do continue your improvements, Joerg. Far more people appreciate it than you will probably ever know. Hopefully those of us who do use OWB will be contributing soon. Every little bit helps.

@Antique

Yes, they do moan about it. Witness the many business users that still use XP in preference to anything newer. The big difference with Amiga OS is that the updates usually do work well in a much shorter time frame compared to that "other" OS.

@vox

I just got my confirmation from A-Eon today (June 28, 2010), dated June 27, 2010. Seems they had some sort of problem with their email facility. Email problems, website anomalies, hmm . . . and engineering a new computer? Even if the product is good, this isn't great marketing. If memory serves me correctly, marketing has always been a weakness in Amigadom.

I'm still hoping, though, for a marketing strategy that makes some sense.

@djrikki

Fantastic design! It's much better than their current page in that yours actually functions reliably. My prejudice is toward information so I like the black and white layout: it makes the color "pop" and it's easier to see the links.

In a word, it looks "professional."

Re: Interest in a new picture/album browser?

@ChrisH

Just downloaded your new program version (dated today, 28 June 2010, here in the US) and ran it "cold," out of the "box." It read a folder of 192 .jpg images with an average size of 0.8 MB each in less than 10 seconds. Clicking on a random thumbnail displayed a full-screen image on my SAM440 in less than 2 seconds.

Congratulations on your achievement. And thanks for providing the next picture viewer for all of us to use. It's work like this that keeps us going forward as a community. This is one of the best new programs I've seen in my 24 years using the Amiga as my platform of choice. It just works, like software should. I'm really looking forward to the improvements as they are made.

Again, thanks!
