Yes except for there unique numbering IDs I only wanted 2 because I don't believe in having 1 of anything, it's just a matter of time before you have to do without it for any number of reasons, I just don't believe in those odds so I compensate It's not showing off as much as future proofing! Although admittedly in the X1000 case there was a genuine level of added coolness to consider

Yip I was going to suggest ADPro too but not with FRED but with ProControl many a batch file run I would do with this back in the day... Usually images created by Imagine and compiled into an animation was on the cards. Everything including the individual load, save, operate modules were configurable... I still use ADPro over anything for my graphic manipulation... bugger the file formats like PNG etc

I can confirm there is practically no difference in the end user experience of the 733MHz and the 800MHz versions, since the 733MHz has a faster BUS (which one I forget, probably memory?)
For example. I used my 800MHz daily until I had a random corruption during a UBoot upgrade. I contacted ACube who sent me a replacement PIC chip. This took 3 weeks in total. The same day the 800MHz fell ill I swapped out the MB with my backup 733MHz. It's been months now since the incident and I still haven't swapped the 733 back out for the healed 800...
Either way you're going to enjoy AmigaOS4.x.x

I personally don't have a seperate partition for SDK it's just part of my Work partition which is 10 gigs and there is still heaps of room left
Of course if you are looking at hosting alot of projects within your SDK then factor this in

I'm pretty sure I've always used SFS2 not the little brother SFS. So SFS2 for the boot partition (which incidently was always around 10gigs but was the first partition at the start of the harddrive) JFX4 for all other partitions and this included extra harddrives that were just one partition the entire harddrive, 500g and 1TB. Your SWAP partition (if you choose to have one, I never did) is of course another kettle of finish, follow the instructions in the OS4 manual. SFS2 also provides the added benefit of Large File Support, software is scrambling to catch up but at least it IS catching up SFS2 is also Rock Solid. Search this forum or http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz/ for other posts on how to activate DMA and associated tweaks for your attached SATA drives. I've always had all my SATA slots filled so no problems there,

I doubt very much anyone would write such a program for the X1000 apart from the mentality of because one can since the actual CPU can function perfectly fine under extreme tempertures without a fan and its got a good fan for good measure anyway

The Network Software worked as it should, I'd be more inclined to think the end user doesn't know what serial device to select or has the modem/router set up isn't correct but hey...
I think your poll is the thing that isn't working, I've voted 4 times and still c an't see any results :p

At least you have another SAM to carry on with! But yes, X1000, Mmmmmmm edit: sorry I just realised I got that wrong, for some reason I thought you blew up your 460 and by your signature you seemed to have a 440.

I remember a program called gccopts which was great for creating a makefile from a directory of source files, could this be used outside CubicIDE? With some or no tweaking?
