i 've just made a test on pegasos/os4.1 using amidvd.
the disk is formated with sfs and the dvd is the optiarc ad 7173a.
i create an iso of 695 mp3 files up to 3.7gb and then i burn it.
the whole process went fine.

what filesystem are you using? have you set the correct settings for it?
try to make an up to 2 gb partition for swap, an other one up to 4 gb for system,
install os4 on the system and after that you can add as many partitions as you like.
i had a language problem once during installation same as yours
while i was trying to install os4 classic in greek.
if you use other than english language for installation this may give you some errors.

you can't do anything about it. i had one, once, and the only thing i manage to make work
(after a month of e-mail convartations with Filip from Matay)
was a voodoo 3 vga card.
and i mean that we made a lot of testing in tones of audio, lan, usb and vga cards.

i made an .lha file all the system partition through latest dopus
and it did'n stop anyware during the proccess and then i copy the system41.lha file in a usb.

i had a similar problem and i found that it has to do with some files in amicygnix and SDK
which are soft links to other ''real'' files.
i don't know more about what exactly means that, someone could explain about it,
and if there's any way for a backup without problems.

i'm using sony's dvd disks and at 4x it takes about 15 minutes with amidvd.
the hard disk is seagate 500gb. i don't remember the dvdrw brand for the moment...

it's the same as in older versions of workbench, so you already have to know it.

Just borrow a keyboard from a friend and try.
for the Media Toolbox problem, click the mouse in the grey area under partition editing
and then press the add partition button in the upper left.
