Re: xadunfile no paths

It's a self build (little update of some deprecated functions or alike). And it's "big" 'cos isn't stripped (as Severin posted)

Re: xadunfile no paths

Just use the filename not fullpath+filename.

Tried here (with ftpd.lha archive):

#c:xadunfile SDH1:Comm/FICHEROS/ftpd.lha ram: ToDo NOTREE
Wrote 158 bytes: ram:TODO
Wrote 1404 bytes: ram:TODO
Processed 2 files.

So here it works fine. Try this xadunfile version:

Tried with V1.102 CASE,CHANGECASE,DEBUG=99 to no avail.
So it must be my NAS, maybe is too "old" for such new smbfs version

BTW my WD-NAS is 'western-digital-my-book-world-edition-blue-rings'

Re: SMBFS now working with Windows 7 (?)

Tried the DEBUG option but dumpdebugbuffer doesn't show anything about smbfs (do I need kernel.debug loaded too???)

NETBIOS option/switch tried too and get error on loading/launching smbfs V1.102:
#samba:bin/SMBFS workgroup=GRUPO user=*** password=*** service=//WDRED/PUBLIC DEVICE=SMBFS0: VOLUME=WDRED TRANSLATE=L:FileSystem_Trans/INTL.crossdos NETBIOS
SMBFS: Cannot connect to server (5, Input/output error).
SMBFS: Could not connect to server (5, Input/output error).

(BTW although error is different [5 vs 61] with/without NETBIOS switch)

Seems I have to stick with smbfs V1.74 with my old WD-NAS THX @all for helping

Re: SMBFS now working with Windows 7 (?)

Just can't stay away

Hi, trying to use latest smbfs V1.102 with my external networked HDD (WD NAS) I got this error:

#samba:bin/SMBFS workgroup=GRUPO user=*** password=*** service=//WDRED/PUBLIC DEVICE=SMBFS0: VOLUME=WDRED TRANSLATE=L:FileSystem_Trans/INTL.crossdos
SMBFS: Cannot connect to server (61, Connection refused).
SMBFS: Could not connect to server (61, Connection refused).

Using "old" smbfs 1v1.74 no problems:
#samba:bin/smbfs174 workgroup=GRUPO user=*** password=*** service=//WDRED/PUBLIC DEVICE=SMBFS0: VOLUME=WDRED TRANSLATE=L:FileSystem_Trans/INTL.crossdos
Connected '//WDRED/PUBLIC' to 'WDRED:'; "Break 2" or [Ctrl-C] to stop...

Any log I can generate/see and find what I'm doing wrong with latest smbfs?

TIA

Re: IPP Printing

Just can't stay away

@tlm

If you can ping to your printer from AOS. Then maybe try Chris' suggestion:

1)download from os4depot lpr.device (http://www.os4depot.net/share/utility/print/lpr_dev.lha)

2)create an 'ENVARC:lpr.device' file (plain text, your printer IP in HOST):
HOST=192.168.1.230 RAW

3)set in printer preferences as in Chris's image and then try to print something using maybe MultiView or another tool/program.

os4depot has ipp archive/device. Haven't tested it. I'm using os4depot lpr.device with and old HPLaserJet-2300n

@xenic

Does those new CP/RM work if you enable in DOS Prefs 'enable * wildcard' option?

(just a 2nd workaround/fix, instead of replacing with "old" CP/RM)

Which type of cable are you using for plugging AmigaNG<->Monitor?

HDMI? try using DVI/VGA
DVI? try using HDMI/VGA

Only with that particular resolution? What happens with lower resolutions?

@kas1e

2 little quirks:

Can the $VER: date at least be changed so we can "know" what version/release are we running?

Catalog (owb.catalog) doesn't seems to be closed on quit/exit, as I can't flush it from memory to test updated/fixed localization. Thus i need to fast reboor miggy to test updated catalog

EDIT: And what internal date/time UTC uses, just posted this at 1H00 Madrid, Spain time and it shows 3H00 ¿:-/

TIA

What happens if earlier you initialize all Objects:
Object *Objects[GID_LAST] = { 0 };
or just the one showing warning:
OBJ(OBJ_BACKPREFS_TRANS_INTEGER) = { 0 };
