Personally, I only use Mixer for adjusting the main volume through ARexx together with AllKeys. It would be nice to be able to do this using the SAM460 on-board audio.

I can now hear sound on my Sam460! But I haven't been able to get it to work with the Mixer commodity. Is this one of the beta limitations, or have I done something wrong?

Wise words of advice there, Chris. (I completely agree.)

If you comment out line 319 with a ";" the installation should still work fine. (It did for me anyway.)

Thanks for the update Chris!
This version seems to be very stable (I haven't been able to crash it yet).
While I am posting this message in the forums with the new version of NetSurf, I was NOT able to add a comment to the NEWS item. Is this a javascript problem?
With some things (such as typing this text), NetSurf seems like the fastest, most responsive of the modern web browsers for OS4.x.
Keep up the good work; and thank you again for continuing to develop this browser---its coming along nicely!

I just got a SAM460 myself; and I like it quite a bit. I had some trouble with OWB too (no text would show up), but I figured out that the problem was with my fonts. (I copied all of the fonts from my old SYS: hard drive without reinstalling them on my new system.) OWB started working again once I downloaded and installed the core fonts from here: http://web.nickshanks.com/fonts/microsoft-core-web-fonts

It would be nice if "equalizer" features could be added.

@Antique
You have quite a few options:
*You can use "tapepause"
*If you want a bit bigger look, you can use "stape_pause" or "tfer_pause" together with "stape_3_bg" or "stapebg_3" or "stapebg_5"
*If you want a really big (TuneNet themed) image, you can use "td_tn_pause"

Getting "Latest Headlines" to Work

In the bookmark toolbar, there is a button by default called "Latest Headlines". However, no headlines were displayed until I 1)closed Timberwolf, 2)deleted a file called "places. sqlite" (located in "Timberwolf/CurrentUserProvile/.mozilla/firefox/Profiles/5ml2puue.default/"), and then 3)restarted TW.
After doing this, the "Latest Headlines" seems to work as it should.
Can anyone else verify that this happens on their TW installation?

The 68k version; but it seems to work well in OS4.

I never win contests, but I was pleasantly surprised to receive this short e-mail from DiscreetFX: --- Congradulations you won a prize! Aladdin 4D, sorry for the long delay with this contest. ---
I've already installed it and rendered some of the sample pictures. It seems to work well with OS4. (Now I just need to spend some time learning how to use Aladdin 4D's many features.)
Thanks DiscreetFX!

Thanks for taking another round of icon requests!
I would like a new icon for either MultiRen or CloseAllDrawers.rexx (whichever one you choose).

I noticed that the SmartButton dockies do not display icon transparencies correctly if used on a 16 bit screen.
A work-around is to create image files from the icons and use them instead of the icon files.
Edit: I just noticed that with update 2, you can no longer place the SmartButton docky title to the right of the image (unless I'm doing something wrong). The title settings for the SmartButton dockies seem to be over-written by the AmiDock settings.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Can anyone get AmiPodder working with OS4.1 Update 1? I had it working before the update, but now I can't get it to work. I copied the required MUI libs over, but I still get an error that says: Quote: Macro: Work:AmiPodder/AmiPodder Line: 867 Error: can't find MUI custom class More: Textinput.mcc

@Raziel
The snapping to OWB's window edges can be done---reading the tooltypes from the OWB icon. But I'm not sure that I'd want to add a snap option to the Prefs. (Though I might add a key combination that will do this.)
Anyway, let's continue the discussion of bug fixes and feature requests through e-mail.
