I do not have a dhcp server on my network; all ip addresses are static. I cannot pingother machines on the network nor can other machines ping the Sam.

I can't get my new Sam440ep online. It is hooked to a LAN with a Linux box and an iMac. The internet is accessed via a DSL modem/router. I think my problem is a routing problem, but every route I try to add other than the default gateway gives me an error message, Can anyone help?

I have just recently taken delivery of a Sam440ep. I have purchased a case, a cd/dvd drive and a hard drive. Now all I have to do is figure out how to make the i/o shield fit, hook up a keyboard, mouse and video and load 4.1. Can hardly wait. I, too have sent an A1 CPU module, plus a Blizzard PPC module to Acube Systems -in October. Needless to say, I have heard nothing from them. It's been a long dry spell without a reliably working Amiga.

I have sent several emails about fixing my AmigaOne CPU module and my BlizzardPPC 603e. I have received no reply. Has anyone else had this problem. Their website says they have an email server overload and that they will respond in hours/days. Not sure whether I should resend my emails (again) or wait

I 've been trying to put Classic 4.0 on my A1200, which I successfuly did. I should have quit while I was aheaaad but I ordered an E/box and a Mediator board and Ide/fix and completely flamed the works. the worst time I've ever had trying to put a computer together. Out of desperation I have preodered a Sam440EP and OS 4.1. Hopeful;ly, my luck will change for the better.

I think I have narrowed down my problem to the G4 Daughter board. Can anyone tell me where to look for a repair or new board?

I hooked up a VGA monitor and was able t see the BPPC settings. After some false starts I have 4.0 installed on my A1200. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the info. I've had my BPPC for a long time but didn't realize there was an update out there (at least I don't think I did). I found it on Aminet.

I assume you mean the last flash rom for Classic OS4? Don't I need to be able to boot into OS4 before I update the flash rom? I will try hooking it up to a VGA monitor and see what happens. thanks.

While waiting to see if a computer repair guy can resurrect my AmigaOne I thought I would try to convert my A1200 with BlizzardPPC to OS4. When I try to power up with the escape key down my 1084 comes up with a black and white screen that displays a bunch of spikes. No amount of fiddling with the buttons and knobs on my monitor makes it settle down so I can read what is on the screen. Anyone have any help for me?

My video card is AGP. I know it works. I tried a PCI card on the off chance that tha AGP slot was bad.

Thanks for your insights. Yours as well as those of everyone who has tried to help. I've resolved to take my machine to a local repair guy who helped me out with an A2000. He has never seen an Amigaone, but feels confident that he can identify the bad component(s). I plan to give him a printout of all the comments posted here. Stay tuned.

Don't think so. One of the responders to this thread is from Lexington about eighty miles away. I don't know whether there is a users' group there or not.

I'll try again. The serial port on an A1200 may not go that fast. I may have to try to figure out the terminal program on my linux box.
