Quote: * OWB 2.15 is linked with static libraries. Might fix the startup crashes I never get on my systems,
I've isolated this problem: it depends by SFS. I've moved my entire system from SFS partitions to FFS2 partitions, and now OWB doesn't crash anymore, and even NewsCoaster now right works... Please joerg test yourself, I haven't change any system file or third parts library, I've just only make a backup, converted partitions from SFS to FFS2 and re-copied files properly. I've even activated FFS2 cache plugin on my partitions... Here A1 G4 underclocked to 800mhz, 256mb ram, OS4.1, hd IDE on SiL060...

@joerg Quote: It's similar to the problems Raziel has, it's executing random code instead of the correct function but in your case there aren't even any shared objects involved, the function it should have called is in the OWB executable itself. No idea why it doesn't work for 3 or 4 users
Add me too ;-/ http://crashlog.os4depot.net/cl83It always happens when OS4 is executing for a while, and when you execute some operations while you open OWB...for example close IBrowse, chat with WookieChat etc... I'm scared every way I launch OWB, because I know it could crash during loading...

@jahc Points of view :) In any case "usable" (always a personal POV...) is very different from "smooth like IBrowse" :) Even TextEditor MCC is "usable", but can you tell about it "it smooth like CygnusED!" ?

@HammerD
Where are the colourful pointers? They don't appear anymore, and I have a Radeon... Guys or you have a very slow version of IBrowse or I have a very good version of it...IBrowse it's always faster...and even Netsurf...
Why fallback/8 at the bottom? Reaction is not able to calculate a good tiny font which respect user settings? Or it's a custon Intuition/GadTools gadget?

@Chris
What kind of tab support NetSurf implements?
1) IBrowse 2.x : window close gadget close current tab;
2) Firefox 1.x : a close gadget right or left of tabs which close current tab;
3) Firefox 2.x and Sputnik: each tab has its close gadget;
Have Tabs a context menu (like IBrowse and Firefox, with which you can close current tab, other tabs, close all tabs, open a new tab) ?
When there are many tabs how is it manage this situation? Do they appear scrolltabs gadgets at the left and right of tabs?

AmigaOS4.0 and 4.1 dual boot

Hi, I've just created a new voice into kicklayout, it loads 4.0 modules like I want, but when it must load system from my OS4.0 partition, even if I've modified ss of 4.0 to mount and assign volumes taken from OS4.0 partition, system does always refer to my 4.1 partition. I've just tried to dismount OS4.1 partition, but system doesn't boot anymore. Of course OS4.0 and OS4.1 partitions are bootable, and OS4.1 has 0 priority while OS4.0 has -1 priority of boot on MediaToolBox...
Any suggestion?

@Rogue
Hi Rogue, I always forget to report a bug: My A1 XE G4 is connected with monitor, keyboard and mouse using a KVM Ravo for 2 computers. Many times when I do a soft reset with Ctrl+Ar+Al shell AmigaDOS appears and I can't use keyboard or mouse many times in this situation. If OS4 is able to boot until workbench, keyboard and mouse don't work, and the olny hope is a reset from case button of my A1. This bug is present from the first prerelease of OS4 and until now with OS4.1...

IMO default pointer of owb it's too little and the shadow it's too big :) I don't see the main edge of pointer while I perfectly see the queue of pointer :)

@Mason
So the olny thing which you could do would be to add for each image a selected one with a visible change, like on find image... for example for navigation arrows you could move the image in the direction of each arow, in this way when it's clicked an arrow seems to move...

@Chris
Perhaps the old glow effect (yellow) is not good anymore on OS4.1...you see white glow effect of new gadgets of windows, perhaps all selected images should follow that kind of selected state (white and more defined, or a "more professional yellow" like many of icons for OS4.0 which Mason has upload on his site, but in that case for a coherent way even window gadgets should be "yellow selected")... what do you think?

@Chris that is what I'm thinking... why AISS haven't a glow effect? and if there was a right reason, why all selected images are not much changed from normal ones? (for example I love find selected image, instead seems all navigation images haven't a visible changes on their selected images)... btw: 10x Mason for images I've asked

@Menthos
I have to know about this thing not olny for me, but I have to update my guide to programming which have to be published on bitplane in these days, and so I would be sure to write a right thing about debug on OS4.1...on OS4.0 it's all right, but on OS4.1 I've that crashes...
