The hardcoded path was fixed with an assign.

Another bug: Wizard doesnt save a "virtual dir" name in the config file, so the wizard wants to start over every time I start the server. Solved by adding a name for the "virtual dir" manually in the config file.

What can actually be seen is that when the problem occurs the number of I/O Writes quickly raises up to the maximum number of 32 (shown with the shownetstatus ppc460ex_eth command).

At least 17 out of 32 I/O Writes doesn't make the ethernet stall.


By limiting the number of active network connections in Odyssey to 2 it will take longer before the eth stall happens.

I've downloaded the new Snoopy from OS4depot.net, let's see if it can show anything. Debug kernel with level 15 haven't shown anything via the serial port when the problem appears.

What CAS Latency do you have? I have CL 4 according to the serial output from my Sam460ex: 2 GiB (ECC not enabled, 575 MHz, CL4).

Do you have any DDR Boost enabled in U-Boot? I have it disabled.

In the kickstart menu, how do I change boot option (they are numbered 1 and 2): via arrow up/down or with number 1/2?

I'm trying to get debug output via the serial port using the kickstart.debug.

This is mentioned in the Kicklayout:

"The name can be used to specify the configuration in the bootloader tool (see Documentation/kernel/bootloader.txt)"

Problem:There is no such thing as a "bootloader.txt" file. Where can I find the documentation? I want to extend the time for choosing between several configurations.

(Do not confuse Bootloader with Bootmenu!)

What's wrong with the Sam460 built in ethernet is that it sooner or later locks up for me using Update 2 kernel. It's stable with Update 1 kernel.

Ping stops, after a while it outputs "No buffer space available, return -1". Solved by reboot of the machine (ctrl + alt + alt). Reboot of the OS (Ctrl + amiga + amiga) is not enough.

Any PCI-E 1x NIC working in Sam460?

Ddrboost = 0 in Ranger. Should mean disabled, I presume.


Edit: after reinstalling both Update 1 and Update 2 the machine seems stable.

Edit 2: uptime was over 4 hours, but after some browsing I got the Ethernet stall again. Reverted to Update 1 kernel.

I have a Sam460ex (1,15 GHz) with similar problem(s); the network interface freezes after a while. No proplems with disk activity or the whole machine freezing though.

Small batch in Amiga world: probably 10-50. At least less than 100.

I can't finish the wizard, and when I run ZitaFTP afterwards I get this message: Could not create directory: Work:logs/ZitaFTP

I suspect it's a hardcoded path, because I don't have a partition named Work:.

I've been trying to get a new password, from time to time, for the last few months, still no e-mail with new password. So no Updater or AmiStore for me.

I too cannot download 1.16 or 1.17 via AmiUpdate.
