OS4.1 Update 1 questions

This thread is for general questions about OS4.1 Update 1
I know the version of TuneNet included is new, but what about the other programs? Is there anything special about the included versions of YAM, OWB, IBrowse, DOpus, etc...?

Is there a way to re-size the icons in AmiDock? I use a 1024x768 screen and the new icons look too big next to my old ones. Plus I can only get about 12 on one line (I had 17 with the previous version) I looked all through the AmiDock prefs but I didn't see anything about changing the icon sizes.

ClipDown suggestion

Would it be too hard to add 'Mailto:' to ClipDown? When the user copies the mailto link to ClipDown it could start the users preferred EMail program (YAM, Simplemail, whatever) and put the address of the link in the 'To' field.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the installer asked where I wanted the main program to be installed. I doubt I would have chosen SYS:Utilities. Or is it possible the installer ignored where I told it to put the main program? (again, I could be wrong too! )

@ChrisH
How do I change the default screen size? I hate having to scroll the page around to see the whole screen.
If you don't mind a suggestion, it would probably be better NOT to have the main program installed on the SYS: partition. OS updates usually recommend installing on a clean partition, and a user may forget to re-install RunInUAE (and wonder why it doesn't work).

If you can play YouTube videos but not download them then it sounds like getvideo cannot find wget. Make sure wget is in the sys:c directory or you have the path to wget set in the getvideo.cfg file. If your using getvideo.cfg it needs to reside in the Sys:Prefs/Env-Archive directory.
I think I found the problem. The 'execute' bit on wget wasn't set. (wrote this before I read the preceding posts).

I've tried setting the tooltype for download directory, and I've also tried enabling ASK_SAVE_PATH. It acts like it's going to work and even pops up a requestor asking the preferred format (FLV, MP4, etc...). I THINK it may have said something about a 'wget error' but it flashed by too quick to read.
Am I doing something wrong or has YouTube changed their settings again?

How hard would it be to add some small buttons to the left or right of the 'Auto' button for Play Only, Play and save, Save only, etc...? Instead of text for the buttons you could have small icons, or maybe a single letter. Leave 'Auto' the way it is, it should be bigger than the rest.
Just a thought.

How hard would it be to add a pop-up window for videos to play, save or play&save? Some videos I might just want to play and others I'd like to save.
Nice program. Your videos convinced me to try it.

So....
Does the recent bombshell about FireFox/TimberWolf for OS4 affect your development of Gnash? Or will Gnash work with Timberwolf too?

I cut the small Boing balls off a spare 'Get Boinged' bumper sticker to cover the windoze logo keys.

AmiSoundED - any more updates?

Are any more updates planned for AmiSoundEd? One I would like is to be able to change the speed/pitch of a sound file. I have a few MP3s that play OK, but when I edit them they play too slowly.
A tooltype for setting the default drawer for loading/saving would be nice too.

MPlayer: To save a screenshot with the latest version of MPlayer, just hit "s" (without the quotes of course) while the video is playing. The screen grab will be saved to RAM:

Maybe authors of sgrab in interest to add that ?
You don't need Sgrab for that, just the latest version of MPlayer. Just hit the "s" key and it will save a screengrab to RAM. It won't grab the MPlayer window, just the video inside.

Would it be hard to add a text search function to the radio scan? So users could search for "Beatles", or "classical" or "Country" (for example) and get just the stations that had the keyword in the description.
I think the OS4 port of AmiNetRadio had that.

Would it be hard to add an option to turn off automatic shrinking of pictures that are too large to fit the screen? I know it's common on pc's but I find it annoying. I would rather scroll down than have to click to enlarge the picture (then scroll down).
Also if a download progress bar would be too hard to implement, would something that just says when the download is done be easier?

If I try to run the new xMAME with the GUI I had previously installed, I get this crash:
http://crashlog.os4depot.net/cl209
If I run it with the GUI files included with the archive, it runs but the screenshots and icons (for working game, favorite games, etc...) don't show. I copied the tooltypes from the old GUI to the new one.
(edit)
After doing some more research, I found that the version of the GUI I had (that shows the screenshots and icons but crashes the new xMAME) is V .14
The one that comes with the new xMAME archive (that runs xMAME but doesn't show screenshots or icons) is actually and older version of the GUI, V .12
Hope that helps.
(P.S. any chance of mouse support for shooting games? )
My mistake. I forgot to set the stacksize in V.14 to 2000000, which is why V.12 worked and V.14 didn't. Never mind! Of course mouse support for shooting games would STILL be nice! (or did I overlook something else?)
