Quote: umm people I think youll find this happens because the torrent file you download is compressed. Try double clicking it in DirOpus and then copy this file over the original, then select it. That makes no sense, double clicking for me just shows the files hex numbers. Not sure what you're doing to get a second file.

@kas1e
True, we both use an x1000, I have TW working very well & use it on a regular basis, as well as IB for the forums. I still use mui-owb every once in a while as well. Each has their strong points as well as weak. I just don't understand why you haven't at least uploaded the font cache script fix, ppl still hit that wall.

Quote: I guess i'll have to wait till next version or ? Enough bugs reported long ago to get a bug fix out already. Two years since it was released, don't think we'll see any bug fix. Too bad, was a nice browser at the time, but the internet has moved on & mui-owb is starting to show problems. Would love to see an update, but feel it won't happen anytime soon, if at all.

Those roadshow env settings were intended to speed up the net connection, I still use them on the micro & x1000. As far as the ping test, I have the same IP, try 192.168.1.1, works here.

@tfrieden Is it best to run RC3 on a FFS partition still, or does it matter? Glad you're feeling better.

@salass00
The fact that removing the battery for a while & it booted after installing again, could mean the voltage is low. The battery voltage will increase a very small amount if its load is removed, maybe just enough to get the system to boot. If possible, measure the battery voltage in circuit or just buy a new one, the boot problem will return if it is the battery. When I had a sil680ide card in my micro, I noticed that the battery voltage went down faster, a lot faster.

LEDs are polarized, you may have it connected backwards, just reverse it & see if it start working.

@Snuffy
If it loads KS, it then loads startup-sequence & user-startup next, watch the drive light to verify this. If it then hangs, you could have something in user-startup that the system doesn't like. If you can get into the early startup menu, try booting without the startup-sequence.
Another way to boot is in the uboot menu, set the cd as the only boot device & see if it boots off the CD.
It just doesn't sound like a cpu problem if it loads files. Uboot is a bugger if something is set wrong.
A little late to the game..

From the OWB readme, might work.
WEBKIT_IGNORE_SSL_ERRORS: If set (content doesn't matter) SSL errors, for example if certificate can't be authenticated, are ignored.

I got an email from ktadd this morning, here it is, I haven't got it to work in IBrowse, but OWB seems to work, though I'm having a problem getting it to work as described. Post what works for you. quote: I'm unable to post this right now on any of the websites but feel free to yourself. I've found a workaround for playing YouTube files since they broke getvideo recently. Here it is: 1. Go to YouTube and left click to select a video to view. 2. Put "savefrom.net/" in front of the URL and press "Enter" (ie. savefrom.net/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piZrjDTx2eg 3. Once the links to the URL for the videos are loaded just copy one into the clipboard. 4. Click on the "ClipDown" button. If "ClipDown" is set to "Auto Mode" the video will be downloaded. If "ClipDown is set to "Play with MPlayer" the video will be played. Other site that www.savefrom.net supports will work as well but most will be played in "Auto Mode". Pass it on. Kevin (ktadd) end quote

I have minigl v2.5 on Depot installed & the Amiga port crashes my micro with os4.2. I re-installed minigl v2.2 & the game plays, slow, but plays.
