OS4 icons for Onyxsoft utilities

I use backup and joinsplitter from onyxsoft, and I have them in Amidock. I would like to replace the lozenge shaped util icon, with an OS4 one, but looking at all the icons sets on OS4depot is rather mind numbing.

Can anyone recomend a source of icons for these two programs.

Thanks.

e.g.
a link is shown that way when i simply write the link
http://www.amigans.net

that way when i enclose it in the url tag [ url ] [ /url ]
www.amigans.net

and that way when i workaround the missing underline with the underline tag [ u ] [ /u ]
http://www.amigans.net
www.amigans.net

In all but the last case MUI-OWB will just show the link, no underline

No special fonts or anything used, just the way MUI-OWB (and i bet OWB) work

I am using OWB (or RA-OWB if you prefer) and all those links are in brown and underlined.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I meant from a user point of view.
I am not a developer, so wondered how to test this if Mplayer, and DvPlayer can't use it?
I am not trying to be a pain, but I am not a programmer, but would like to play with this.

Hmm, I don't think so.

I am at a bit of a loss here.
If Mplayer can't use this library, and DvPlayer cannot use the additional formats without being updated, where can we use this library?

You can shoot me if this is a stupid question :)

Re: using .flv files with def_icons

Hi Andy,

That work's brilliantly, especially the from workbench option, it get's rid og the output window.

When from the menu choosing save as default flv, the icon information window automatically closes.

After setting it up as you describe, and looking at the def_flv icon, and the def_icons entry, they appear to be the same as I had set up manually, but it didn't work then, your way does.
Thanks again.

Maybe you can start with "easy" DefIcon definition for flv files, like only:

I've just tried that, and no go.

Is the path in the def_flv icon right? (APPDIR:mplayer or something alike)
It's the same path as Amidock, when run with Amidock MPlayer launches a file requester and I have to drag'n'drop the flv file on to there, and then select it.
Maybe this is an MPlayer problem, rather than def_icons.

Anyway thanks for the help.
I will have to look up MPlayer settings?

I wonder if someone could tell me hoe to launch .flv files in mplayer automatically.

I have edited the def_flv ivon in env_arc/sys to the location of MPlayer.
I have added flv to the video section of prefs/def_icons.
I selected 3 .flv files and selected learn in prefs/Def_icon
Rebooted my system and it's not working.

If I launch MPlayer (from Amidock) i can drag'n'drop an flv file and it plays ok, I just can't seem to get MPlayer to be launched when I double click an flv file.

Just as an example, if I double click on an avi file DvPlayer launches automatically and startes playing the avi file. I would like to do the same with flv (youtube) files.

I am obviously doing something wrong, and would be gratefull if someone could help.

Cheers

Hey, this USB2.0 2-port PCI-Card & 3 port internal hub works fine.

I have installed the hub as well, and all are working.
I don't know how to test the speed, but I can play .avi files from a 500GB external drive, with DvPlayer just fine. :)

The only problem(?) I have had is opening pdf's (with Amipdf) direct from the external drive. I just get a busy pointer. If I copy the pdf files to ram: Amipdf opens them ok. :(

Anyway it's a thumbs up for Maplin's.

I've found that, with a VIA USB card, that it would not work correctly if either the front OR the rear integrated USB ports wer enabled. Only one or the other.

I've used prefs/uboot to disable front, rear and both.
Each time I use NVgetvar, to check they were disabled in UBoot.
And I get the same response each time.

If I assume the onboard connector is for the front ports (I would like to keep the card reader connected), how is the best way to disable them.
There is prefs/uboot but I seem to recall someone saying it wasn't that reliable? It was a while back now.

Hi Niels,

Both usb sticks worked fine before with the onboard usb1.1, so I don't think it is the devices.

All I have done is install the usbw pci card and connected the card reader to the pci card rather than the A1 motherboard. I had a powered hub in the A1 backplate usb sockets. (Which now doesn't work if I connect it)

There is a wiring diagram with the pci card, but I haven't checked that it corresponds to the card reader cable yet.

OS4.1 upd4 USB2.0 [Fixed see post##11]

Hi, I am having problems using USB 2.0 on my A1XE-G3 800.
I posted this on the pci card thread, but did not get a reply.
So I thought I would start a new thread, to get some help.

I have a VIA VT6212L card here, but no luck so far.

It is a 5 Port USB2.0 Internal PCI Adapter.
It is a VIA VT6212L chipset.

When I insert a device the usb notification comes up, but it take a while for an icon to appear on workbench, and it shoes up as USB0:Uninitialized, I then get a Disk_Warning!
that says
Quote:
Can't read root directory!
Can't mount this!

USB Inspector shows 5 entries under Functionality/Hub
Quote:
Rear Roothub (ehci.usbhcd/0)
Additional Roothub (uhci.usbhcd/3)
Additional Roothub (uhci.usbhcd/2)
Front Roothub (uhci.usbhcd/1)
Rear Roothub (uhci.usbhcd/0)

under Functionality/Mass Storage, it shows
Quote:
USB DISK 25X

PCIscan shows Quote:
15 0x1106 0x3104 VIA Technologies,Inc USB2.0

In Kicklayout I have uhci.usbhcd, ohci.usbhcd, and ehci.usbhcd enabled (upd4 default).

This is on an A!XE-G3 800.

Can anyone give me any ideas?
Should I try disabling the ohci.usbhcd in kicklayout?
Or will that cause more problems?

At the moment, with the above config, even onboard usb1.1 does not work.

Thanks in Advance.
