Now might be a good time to list what spec your classic is so Hyperion at can check their driver repotoire !!
I'm afraid that driver support will be the major issue, especially on the BlizzardPPC and especially since the memory system changed substantially and there are a LOT of baaad drivers out there. Most DMA drivers do not care about calling PreDMA/PostDMA, so they *are* likely to fail. We will, shortly before release or during, publish a list of tested hardware. If your configuration matches it, that's great, otherwise there is little chance that we can do anything about that.

@lazi Quote: I am surprised how much memory is used after booting OS4 final on my micro A1. There is certainly some commodities in the wbstartup, so it should be normal, but 182 megs free from the installed 256 is surprised me compared to my classic Amiga experiences.
You should not take the free memory figure too serious. The new memory system uses a lot of caching, so free memory might not be reported using normal mean (i.e. AvailMem()) although it is, in fact, available. For example, any allocation smaller than a certain size is going to be allocated from caches that hold pre-allocated chunks of memory for this purpose.

@Zettmaster
Something I noticed in your crashlog is that they all crash somewhere around 0xFFxxxxxxxx, that is usually a sign that some library is missing but the opener doesn't check whether he could do it or not, and I would guess it's a 68k library because of the negative offsets.
You should check with something like Snoopy to see whether there is something missing.

@Laser
I am actually a bit surprised that the old version still works. We had some interim versions but had all sorts of issues with it, especially when you have (like me) a multitude of controllers attached (I have a X52 FCS, A Saitek R440 racing wheel and a Saitek P750 gamepad connected) and for some reason the order of these devices changed; then you would loose prefs settings. On top of that, the location of the prefs files changed which reflects in the drivers but not the prefs program.
Unfortunately one of the programmers had to bail out and the other suffered a hardware breakdown, so things have been dragging on.

Dammit, I knew this would bite back at one point.
I am really sorry about the lack of AmigaInput on the final ISO, but it was nowhere in a releasable state. We're going to try to take care of this for the final CD production, plus we will probably also add a version of the ISO with contributed software, we'll include AmigaInput on that one if it is finalized by then.

No I don't think it's a hardware problem. You might want to try setting locking mode to automatic for quake-games... For the time being, we had rather finished the OS than the screenshots. We're going to do some, but right now, everybody wants to just give it a rest.

Shogo, after installing powerpc.library from upd4 starts and seems to work in software mode. MiniGL crash.
I've not tried Freespace, anyway i would to play 3D version, finally.
Quake 3 works ok. I have horrible audio but probably is AmigaOneXE releted problem with 3D accelerated games.
Quake2?
There might be a version of Shogo some day... Might be, I don't know for sure. For Freespace, I do have a native 3D version but it needs more testing and brushing up. Quake 3, I wonder why you have flaky audio, it works here without any problem. Quake 2, I have a native MiniGL renderer too, but like Freespace it needs more testing.

You can use the new build-in memory debug buffer. It can be dumped using C:DumpDebugBuffer and captuers everything that is output via DebugPrintF and friends.

We had a similar problem during testing of the ISO. In that case it seemed to have a flaky CD-RW, using a CD-R solved the problem.

Dunno if this has been proposed before (sorry if it has)...
The title page/news page (the one with the last forum posts on top) should have a possibility to jump to a specific page or the last page of a thread. Otherwise you need to go to the thread first and then jump to the last page.

Yet an other obstacles, is that most Amiga developers are used to 2D games programming, there is learning curve to be over come whit 3D graphics.
Well for starters, grab the source code of Quake 2 or 3 and make a game with that. It works on other systems. Granted your game source code needs to be GPL'ed but there's your chance to use a commercial grade graphics engine to produce your first game yourself without the learning curve involved, and learn along the way.

Alright, please don't get me wrong on this.
I personally think we need less people saying "we need this and that". I mean, how often do I hear "we need Firefox". Hello? It's not like this one isn't blindly obvious. Of course we need Firefox. Of course we need more games.
However, postings like this will not help. It is time people get active themselves. Every time the source code of a game was released I received mails that essentially asked me to port them. I see hundreds of postings asking for this and that to be ported, but no one actually trying it.
What can *you* do (You in this case meaning no one specific)? Well, learn to program. That doesn't work overnight, and you will not be porting games the next day, but if you never start with it you will never get there.
I can only agree with Orgin.
