Re: Guru vs. Grim Reaper

@Chris

sorry if a little bit off topic, but the recoverable alert in it's current form is a bit of annoying. What do you think?
Sometimes you have to click 10-15 times to make it disappear (as Murphy knows, the Recoverable allert comes only the ehm.. few times there is some important work not yet saved, so you _have_ to go through the infinity of mouse clicks). :-/
It's expecially bugging when there is a screen resolution difference, so it keeps both me and the TFT going nuts.

Could it be integrated in the GrimReaper somehow? (hope some devs are reading )
Is it technically possible at all?

@Valiant

I first saw an Amiga on 1987. It was my cousins A2000 with kickstart 1.2. I remember playing defender of the crown, Amegas, giana's systers and marble maddness. and playing around a lot with AegisAnimator (was it v1.0?) Dpaint and TV-Text. What a fun!
I started to save all the money I coud and finally 3 years later for my 15th birthday, I bought an A2000 with an A2088 board. What a present I made myself!! But I still ask myself wy I didn't buy an A3000 instead?!?
Then -i guess it was 1995- I bought an A1200, the A4000 came 2nd hand on 1998.. can't remember for shure.
And the A1 on 2004. Wow, It's already 3 years ago!!
next will be Sam or ACK or both I guess..we'll see.

Install wave.datatype from OS4Depot. Unless the wav.datatype has improved a lot from update #4 then my wave.datatype is still better. If you have problems with my wave.datatype then contact me and I will try to fix them.

@spotUP

Playing some WAV files freezes the hole system after a grim.

Maybe it's only on my system. If someone wants to try it out,
here's a link to a file which is played correctly on Win but
can't stand out OS4 wav datatype:

I had some problems too. Try to burn it again.

I used a CD-RW disk, so it can be erased and burned again..

hope this helps.

Re: map ALT to WIN-keys

Probably (I don't have OS4 myself) since every key has an id that is sent serially to the computer. It's more about hacking
the map settings. If that seems to hard,
you can always rewire your keyboard by rewiring the keys.
map ALT to WIN-keys

rewiring the keys!?! shure! This really seems an elegant solution to me!

in the U-Boot prefs there is a keyboard mapping table but I could not find any
documentation on how to do it! I made a quick search on "another os4 www-site"
as I tought there was a thread obout it; seems I remembered wrong..
maybe a dev could help out? Is this function working in upd4 anyway?

btw, this is my first post in amigans.net so greetz to all!!

map ALT to WIN-keys

hi,

like the subject says, is there a way to map the RAlt key to RWin key and vice versa? Also for the left ones.

On my keyboard the ALT keys are much bigger than the Windows-keys so it would be much more confortable. It's also more Amigaish

I'm using pre-OS4 upd4. Oh, and it's a PS2 keyboard.

I tryied to swap the keys with Allkeys, with no success. Mabe I did something wrong?

thx
