@Lio Hmm, well, the only thing i see is that you can up your Unit2 medium to UDMA5 instead of UDMA4 Quote: Xfer mode : best pio 12 (PIO 4, 16 MB/s) / best dma 68 (UDMA 4, 66 MB/s) / current 67 (UDMA 3, 44 MB/s)
But that shouldn't be the reason why it's crashing your apps I think @MichaelMerkel is right about the system going into "lock-mode" when finalizing discs...hmm, maybe Tomasz can do something about it, but maybe it's a hardware limitiation?

@joerg No hard feelings...quite honestly i thought it would be better to fix the root of the problem (ATIRadeon.chip), than to deal with the outcome (lockup due to a third-party program), so i never filed a bugreport It's both fixed now and i will use SFS with even more joy. Thanks a lot for the ongoing development and support

@Hans
Last time i spoke to him was when his forum broke (Nov 2006)
Absolutely nothing heard since then...i do hope that he will keep on...and i mention his project everytime i can.
I'm with you here, too. I don't even think a Bounty like with Sputnik would help, one man ain't enough for this task...
edit: Sent him a mail, amybe he'll join us here and tells what he might need?

@joerg Just for my understanding...are these the requesters that would pop up BEFORE WB is loaded telling the user this or that was processed on a drive successfully? If they are...err, could have need them with upd3 and up, back then it locked up my A1 by opening a screen not or wrongly supported by the graphics driver. OS4final fixed it once and for all, still very much needed on classic, thanks joerg

@Ferry @Jack I can go with @Ferry I just got me this oneUnpowered, two computers (AOne with OS4 and a PeeCee with XP) working out of the box and you can even use the keyboard hotkeys...flawlessly...although the price is not really cheap USB works too edit: Well, too ealry praising the switch...after a reboot it neither finds the keyboard nor the mouse, USB still works but it's kind of unuseable as one don't has a mouse and kb Re-plugging (yes, EVERYTHING) solves the problem, though, but i don't think that is the solution you are looking for

@pjs Quote: Can anyone tell me what the secret is to getting a successful result from FryingPan? Depends on what you want to do Easiest way would be to burn a DATA CD, simply go to "Tracks" page "ISO Builder" and "ADD" everything you need to burn. On the "Write" page i have "Masterize Disc (DAO)", "Close Disc" and "Eject after Write" set. One must not "Blank disc before write" if one uses a CDR, of course AUDIO CD from MP3's are as easy but tricky to deal with. FP only understands one MP3 format, from the top of my head i think it was MP Layer II, everything else will just create empty tracks (for now?) Burning bootable CD's works only with .iso files for me Go to "Tracks" page and "Data/Audio Tracks" and add the .iso

@Jack Glad your planning already with your A1 again, hope to have you back at full speed soon @thread Dunno if it matters at all, the hardware should be compatible. Nothing special at the UBoot resolution either and PS2 is plain peecee PS2, so i think every KVM should do!?
