Re: Streaming twitch.tv on AmigaOS 4.1

Quite a regular

I had to put aside for the moment the arexx script seems not to work at least in my configuration.
While AIO works perfectly and I can also see multiple videos at the same time but it seems to have problems with DRM.

@walkero
How do I choose "22" with AIO?
Excuse the question but I can't do it, can you help me
Thank you.
I also tried twitch.tv directly on your site it works perfectly.
Thanks again.

I also tried YT.rexx and it works with DRM content

Thanks again.
I leave here a video if it can be useful:

@PJS
Thank you for your suggestion.
YT works even if as you said it has problems with the reproduction of some DRM.

this is the command I use with Odyssey:
LINK YT
c:rx Work:YT/YT.rexx %l silent autoplay

Thanks for the help I had already tried this way.
The script seems to work but it is at the time of streaming that mickjT-Mplayer fails.

While with the method used by Skateman the videos start without problems.

I believe somehow using the .rexx script MickjT-MPlayer doesn't work properly.
I mean the player not the .arexx script.

the video output appears but then it says this:
MickJT-MPlayer-1.0.1.1.3.0
Playing <url>
libavformat version 57.25.100 (internal)
Cannot seek backward in linear streams!

@Petrol
Thanks again for the help.
The string is written correctly paying attention to spaces.
to post the message I made a copy and paste for convenience
but the script wrote it manually
I tried again but the error is the same
I'm sorry but it doesn't seem to work.

@all
Thanks for all the suggestions.

@walkero
Thanks for the video link and for your work in updating to the new version.
I noticed that some videos cannot be opened
they seem to be the somewhat restricted ones like music videos.
Am I wrong in setting the configuration program of aiostreams?
or is it normal?
Thank you.

Also I can't set the video format setting I can only use -q 18 seems to have changed the way of the video format configuration.

If I try to set Emotion (version 1.9) it gives me this I / O error and does not open the video instead from the command line in most cases the video opens without problems. (excluding those with restriction).
While it works perfectly with MickJT-MPlayer (excluding some music videos etc.)
Thanks for any suggestions.
And thanks again for your work

@Skateman
Thanks for the video you put in it works perfectly.

@Petrol
The arexx script with the line you suggested works but it can't open the video and mickJT-MPlayer gives me this error:
MickJT-MPlayer-1.0.1.1.3.0
Playing <url>
libavformat version 57.25.100 (internal)
Cannot seek backward in linear streams!

the config file it points to is the same one I use as suggested in @Skateman's video and this is what I added in the menu without using the arexx script:
python sys: utilities / aiostreamns / youtube.py -u% l -shh
in this case it works without errors on the part of mickJT-MPlayer

instead this is what I use to use your arexx script in Odyssey nenu:
c: rx Work: aiostreams / my_script.rexx% l
then I added in the script my_script.rexx:
WHEN website = "Youtube" THEN address command 'Work: aiostreams / youtube.py -shh -u' url '-q 22'
I also tried -q 18 or -q 360
everything works but when I open the video it gives me this message:
MickJT-MPlayer-1.0.1.1.3.0
Playing <url>
libavformat version 57.25.100 (internal)
Cannot seek backward in linear streams!

if you have other suggestions I appreciate them gladly
Thanks again.

Re: Streaming twitch.tv on AmigaOS 4.1

I haven't used aiostreams in a long time
I did a test and configured the video player in youtube.py and it works
then to see if it worked I used this shell command

python youtube.py -vs "winuae"
python youtube.py -u <url> -q 18

and the program works correctly the video can be seen without any problem

so i set this in the odyssey menu:

PlayVideo link
c: rx Work: aiostreams / my_script.rexx% l

but if I try to open a video directly on the youtube page
it tells me "5/1 program not found"

the arexx odyssey script is set up like this:

to the line dedicated to youtube:

SELECT
WHEN website = "Youtube" THEN address command '[PATH OF THE SCRIPT] YT.rexx' url 'ssl html odyssey autoplay silent'

i tried to enter this but it doesn't work:
WHEN website = "Youtube" THEN address command 'Work: aiostreams / youtube.py -ssl -u' url

what is the correct line to insert where am I wrong?

Thanks for any help.

@LiveForIt
Thanks for this further information is always important and useful.
Thanks again.

The thing I don't understand is why up to 3/4 of the screen the speed is fluid as soon as I widen the whole window, for example, the speed collapses completely.
so at least on the emulation side yours could be a good suggestion.

kas1e explained the reasons to me a long time ago and I keep them in mind
but as always I try to improve the 4.1 emulation

Thanks again.

@Rob
Thank you for your suggestion

@All
I did other tests and even if the video doesn't work full screen now it seems that the "composite" acceleration works because the result is really good.
I don't know the reasons but it seems to support acceleration well this doesn't happen with the uaegfx driver each video works differently based on the video compression codec etc.

while now Odyssey + Voodoo3 seems to work well with any video I do not get full screen but somehow it works perfectly with all videos on youtube whatever the compression method or video format always using winuae with the restrictions given by an emulator.

here the video any other suggestion is important:

I did this further test for acceleration in the videos.
I can open the video but the window remains black and only the audio is heard,
I was wondering if I was on the right track or am I completely off track.
Thank you.

Sorry for the question I tried to search the net for the documentation but I didn't find anything useful.
i read that voodoo3 was supported from version 4.1 Classic update 1-6

did voodoo3 natively support "composite"?

Thanks for any help.

Especially by those who have owned this card with 4.1

If it could be useful
I tried Composite3D Demo and it works with voodoo3 via PatchCompositeTag is not perfect but it works.

I wanted to ask and feasible to write a "driver" or a "patch" that supports even only the 2D acceleration "composite" with the current Odyssey through the Voodoo3 emulated with winuae.

Or also via uaegfx?

Is my request wrong and everything much more complex?

Or could it be done?

Would all this have a cost?
Thank you.

Re: Updater locking up

@Raziel
I don't know the subject well but as a buyer after an amigaos 4.1FE update2 + hotfix update I expect the whole Enhancer package to be updated accordingly because it has to be up to date with the operating system and not the other way around.
Sure it will probably take some time and normal but I expect this to be done.
Installing packages individually is a temporary solution.
Updating the package seems normal to me and needs to be adapted to the new update.

@amigakit
Is it possible to have an example of an installation with alternative paths such as the audio configuration program?
it would be very useful.
I would like to continue using Enhancer
Thanks.
