I heavily doubt you are out of v-ram with Battle of Wesnoth. Game is already slow on Sam in window mode, what do you expect when switching to fullscreen?

In my Flex system isn't slow, it's fast in window mode, and if you put out the glitches in full-screen mode, it's quite fast there too.

@Joeled

I wish I could find one to test it under AmigaOS 4. But if Alfred's list and compatibility will increase in the future with new drivers, that would be awesome. Something that we didn't have before. Well done mate.

@328gts

Sure. I forgot that one.

Also I forgot that the "\" key works normally.

Battle for Wesnoth is a great turn-based strategy game, but although it works fast and reliable in window-mode, it seems not to co-operate in full screen mode.

Switching to full screenmode, I got several graphics pop-ups, which unfortunately comes to an unplayable experience. When something moves everything is flickering and so on.

I know that I can play in window mode, I just ask if somebody had the same experience with that before, or we have the same situation like UFO:AI.

@gregthecanuck

He mentioned about a special IDE especially for AmiDARK engine, so we have to hear him. I'm sure he has something special in his mind.

And CodeBench is really good, using the Hollywood specific version of it.

Nice to hear that you're considering an IDE for AmiDARK.

@kas1e

Of course I'm not expecting everything, and I'm really amazed about some ported games, that are really playable under SamFlex.

And I don't have a 600MHz system, I have 800MHz. Well, if that's make a little different or not, who knows.

The problem is that we need updated 3d drivers, as Andreas stated somewhere for UFO:AI.

Okay, problem solved.

I had already the latest SDL, but an update to some shared objects was needed (ex. libvorbis, libvorbisfile etc).

Now, I can play it normally, and it's really quite fast. Great game.

Thanks for everybody's help, really appreciated.

@kas1e

Yes the problem is that we need good ports, but also they have to be playable too.

Unfortunately SAM boards seem to not be 100% ready, and almost "heavy" and nice games are unplayable, if you compare that the same game under an AmigaOne or Pegasos2 G4 system just plays normally.

@nubechecorre

Depends on the system probably. Do you have a SAM?

What do you mean "very strange"?

How long did the installation to finish? Because in mine was really a nightmare, it was too slow in my system.

Ok. I will download the latest SDL and install it tonight. After that I will try it again and I will inform you mate.

Thanks for the help.

@kas1e

Upon installation, there is also a SOBJS directory into FreeSpace 2 game. Where I have to put the new OpenAL.so then? In my SYS:SOBJS/ or there? Or it doesn't make any difference at all?

Thanks I will do that tonight.

About SDL I really don't remember, probably from OS4Depot.

Latest MiniGL I have (v2.3)
Latest SDL too
Latest OpenAL (taken from the archive from FreeSpace 2 port site).

But nothing...

Reading almost all the posts here, and using (well, not so much) Hollywood, I have to say that AmiDark Engine is the AMOS Pro of 2010 (well, something like that).

It seems that's easy to understand, with simple commands, like AMOS Pro did in the past. I hope that it will stay that way at the end.

Also, just a question. Will AmiDark Engine has its own IDE or we have to write our listings under our favourite text editor?

Keep up the good work though.
