Hi all,
Got my A1 out of storage and sent it to Kurt for the fix.
Got it back, said it worked great.
Now I'm trying to load it up and can't get the U-Boot screen.
Do I need to do something or should it just come up?
Thanks in advance, Chris

Hi,
Just because it's basically a state machine does not mean it's not useful.
You can put a card in Xorro that has a processor on it and use the Xena as I/O control and port timing.
There are plenty of X1000 lines going to not only the Xorro but the PCI-e in front of it.
I'll bet Individual Computing will come up with some good stuff all by himself, let alone others.

@Geoshaper,
Lets not forget that there is also a PCI-E in line with Xorro.
A card with 2 connectors will have more connectivity available to what ever you decide to put in there.

I think one of the first things we may see is a MIDI port.

@vidarh,
I had the same idea using a Natami. This would be nice. Tuck the Natami away someplace out of sight and have both at your finger tips.

@Helgis,
I wish they would let more out about this chip but all I can find are these quotes
From Hyperionmp on AW.
"There was a very good reason why the standard PCI-E x8 connector was chosen inline with a PCI-E x1 slot.
(I doubt the cost of a standard physical connector will add a lot to the board price incidentally).
Think cheap bridgeboard."
" And, "The integration is pretty tight."
PCI-Ex8 is the Xorro slot. so there is a whole lot of connectivity there. Who knows?

Hi,
I'm more than a bit curious as to the 7.1HD audio. To be 7.1 it must have a DSP/Decoder. How will the user access this?

@Mikey_C,
I have had the Amiga bug since 1994. I did not miss the the A1XEG4 I received in 2003 and I will not miss this one, and this looks like a really good one.
With the economy of California it will be some magic but I'm in.

@tiffers
After seeing this for many days now I am thinking, A-EON = Amiga of the ages. Especially seeing who is in that company.

Nice work! Love you two Bro's. Any "guesstimate" on when we may hear about "The Ambitious Project"? Just checking.
Keep up the excellent work. Thank you, Chris

@murasame
This would be very nice, an extra PCI slot for a CatWeasel.
That thread does not seem to specifically answer the question of " can it boot from drives attached to it?". I have an XE.
Thanks for the info. Chris

@logicalheart,
Too bad. It would have been nice to kill two birds with one stone. Guess I'll stick with the the plain Sil card.
Thanks for the heads up.

@K-L,
The close up, read low detail, shows both chips being VIA. could not read any numbers.
Card part # : SD-VIA-1A5E1IR.

@LiveForIt
I would if I was not out of PCI slots. There is only one SATA port on the A.C. Ryan reader I'm looking at.
