@pjs
Yep. Moments after I posted on amiga.org for people to use de.amigaworld.net or se2.amigaworld.net, they both went down.
Now Amiga.org is having issues as well.
VBulletin error page is popping up after log in, clicking on a thread, and attempting to post. Saw this once before. We had a thread on AW about it, but obviously I can not link to it now. Heh.
Oh well...

@Antique
If you have AdPro you can do this with their batch processor "FRED". Through AREXX it even asks you about width, height, pixel aspect, percent scales, lock aspect, etc. prior to the batch processing. Easy to select an entire directory to operate on.
Only issue with older s/w like this would be in any format (current) not recognized by the loaders.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. The 2nd article linked to, misses the point entirely.
The comment from Hyperionmp must be examined in context of which it was offered. It was made in response and TO the OP in the thread who quoted:
"Commodore USA to relaunch Amiga brand with series of AROS desktops"
Considering that the result of this was CUSA's withdrawal of this claim, it should be obvious that this was about an operating sytem considered for use with the newly branded Amigas and not about the brand "Amiga" per se.

@Daedalus Quote: To be honest, I don't think I've ever tried the top slot, so it could always have been like this. ok Quote: It's apparently "fixed" - I was told it was by the previous owner, and I've never had any motherboard USB or IDE issues (though for my own peace of mind I use the IDE card for the hard drives). And it's running at 800MHz. ok. So far (again not that many posts), fixed/unfixed and clock has not been the determining factor. Just the slot #. Quote: Is there much involved with fitting the AC97 chip? My board doesn't have it, but if it's as simple as fitting the chip then that's a possible alternative to the Soundblaster...
hmm...a few things about this. link from when this was 1st discussedand New VIA686B 5.3 AHI driver and Mixer 1.16 on OS4depotand Miracles happen: A1 onboard audio works!It's obvious there is talk about both "quality" and the value of gaining a slot. Terratec Aureon 5.1 Fun and Sound Card summaryI know that Kicko and ssolie have/had the ESI Juli and are/were pleased. I think different people would give you different advice on whether to use AC97 or a card. My concern, based on what we are discussing, is what effects using onboard might have on the rest of your system. If you see the PCI posts so far, they are all from people using a card for sound I think. I'd like to hear some PCI reports regarding USB2 from folks who also added back the sigmatel chip and also those who activated it with DaveAE's driver. Sorry if this all sounds complicated...but it is. #6

@Daedalus
Thanks for the follow up. Just for my own curiosity:
(1)Was there always an issue with your slot 1?
(2)Is this a fixed or unfixed XE?
(3)Overclocked or running at 800mhz?
Regardless, this still follows what others have posted in different forums. Slot 1 either works for H/D controller only or has issues (in your case) even with that.

@Daedalus
From all the posts above and elsewhere, it is apparent that slot 1 has been good for H/D controller. Have you tried that and can you confirm? If so, then perhaps post #27 layout for soundcard and usb2 might work for you.

@Kicko
Thanks.
Just wanted to be sure you saw the posts above where USB2 was working in the last slot as opposed to the first. (port 3 vs port 1) If you have an issue you could copy the layout from those posters, and see if you get the satisfactory result that they did. (so far)

Hi Kicko,
Could you please repeat your post, but use the layout that K-L and Varthall used, showing what is in each port? Thanks.

@Antique
If you only want to save frames, why not just do it through MPlayer?
(1)Add "-vf screenshot" (without quotes) to MPlayer GUI/Extras/Additional parameters (2)After running the .flv, use perhaps the up and/or right arrows to get close to the frame you want. (3)Then switch to using "." (period) which will give you frame by frame advance while in paused mode (4)When you reach the frame you want press "s", which will save it as a .png to directory of your choice as stipulated by MPlayer icon info. Default is (SCREENSHOTDIR=RAM:)

@all
If you really want to help Varthall, please use shell and type: version full Mplayer and mention the version you are commenting on in your post, so he knows what version you are talking about. The Summer Reloaded version (latest public) is
MPlayer for AmigaOS4 SVN-r29532-4.2.3

@Dax Quote: must be lucky then (or..am i using a different version? I use Mplayer summer edition from OS4 depot on SamFlex) here, although I don't use the gui launcher, mplayer never crashes on exit. Of course you don't see the crash. If you launch MPlayer from the shell then default is overlay - P96. The crash being discussed is for sdl. You can test this for yourself by using the argument: MPlayer -vo sdl [filename] #6

I have added more detail in the "bugs" thread. I think we should keep comments regarding issues in that thread so walkero doesn't have to follow multiple threads.

As I outlined in irc earlier:
I can read the site with IBrowse and Aweb (current releases).
Attempting to write (post/edit profile) showed the following:
IBrowse: "Cannot create an XMLHTTP instance". AwebPPC: "Javascript alert: Cannot create an XMLHTTP instance."
Just FYI.
