@retro

Hollywood is awesome but it is not video editing software. The Amiga Video Toaster Flyer is SD not HD unless someone updates the open source software.

Do you want and need very cool video editing software for OS 4.1? Why not just remove hardware dependencies from the software at the following link?

www.openvideotoaster.org

The GUI, feature set and ease of use are still awesome even after all these years. And the code is already Amiga code.

FYI

We are now making the full ISO file available to any Amiga programmer that asks for it via FTP. This was not done before.

Re: Imagine for OS4.1

How does everyone like Imagine's raytracing ability? Raytracing is a feature that is missing in the current version of Aladdin 4D. Our philosophy on future versions is to support external raytracing engines and render engines. For example Real 3D, Imagine or even a open source one. If Imagine has a good raytracer we could explore licensing it with the current developer. Not surprised to hear about the death of the Windows version of Imagine. Developing for Windows is overrated. Even Truespace is having lots of drama now.

Imagine still alive for Amiga? Nice to hear and we welcome the competition. A vibrant and alive 3rd party developer community is what is needed to bring Amiga OS back into the mainstream.

Thanks for this information, we did not know about this GUI toolkit. Bummer that the Amiga version is not further along, how many coders are working on it? How does wxWidgets compare to MUI, ReAction or Feelin?

Current code does not use ReAction GUI, your idea is very nice though.
