does anybody knows the meaning of this?

"Can't load icudata.owb" (AOS4.0)

Edit- oops ... overlooked the icudata.owb when copied manually!

Very snappy on Classic as well Thanks!

Re: Problems with NetSurf freezing?

@Chris

theres a problem with the instal script (actually no .so library are correctly copied) and if you attempt to install in an old NetSurf directory, the instal script breaks with a "file in use" warning.

My suggestion (for now) is to create a new NetSurf2.0 drawer and install there the new release.

Check/compare then if all .so files have been copied correctly in SOBJS:

It works correctly here on AOS4.0

@MamePPCA1

"I only have 2 computers linked with an ethernet cable."

is this ethernet cable a crossed type?

If i got it right .... you have a portable with embedded wireless and your Amiga.

The 2 things are connected via an ethernet cable .... right?

Can you ping the 2 computers in both direction at least?

@VooDoo

uncheck=disable it

These 2 options probably wont help with your particular issue but will turn your solid dragging, smoother.

@Swoop

;#### getVideo Config File ###
;# This config file is optional.
;# If you only use default settings you can delete it from c:
;# If you want to change some settings then uncomment and edit
;# the prefered options.

;# here as examples the default settings
; save_http = 'wget -c -O "%d" "%s"'
; save_mms = 'mplayer >nil: -dumpfile "%d" -dumpstream "%S" -quiet'
; play_file = 'mplayer >nil: *>nil: "%d" -quiet'
; play_stream = 'mplayer >nil: *>nil: "%S" -quiet'

;# here some hints:
;# dont forget quotes if your path has spaces
; save_http = '"work:directory with space/wget" -c -O "%d" "%s"'

;# for network streaming it is good to setup some cache
; play_stream = 'mplayer >nil: -cache 4096 -cachenetwork "%S" -quiet'

;# you dont like wget? then use mplayer for http download
; save_http = 'mplayer >nil: -dumpfile "%d" -dumpstream "%S" -quiet'

uncomment all the lines with "mplayer" and set it up your path.

However the screen is now shifted to the right. I adjusted it manually using the monitor's controls but it's not enough, the screen is still shifted a bit to the right. I can see only half of the screen-depth button.

Is there something like OS3.x Overscan Preferences in OS4.0? Or is there any other possibility how to fix it?

goto the Screenmode preferences and tick the "Default" Width and Height gadget

As written in the readme it requires Picasso96. For CGX users installing http://aminet.net/package/driver/video/P96Emu should work.

thank you! it works now.

programs using ixemul.library need a minimal GeekGadgets installation (ENV[ARC]:ixemul.prefs, ENV[ARC]:IXGMTOFFSET, executing GG:Sys/S/GG-Startup from your S:user-startup to create the assigns, etc., the files in ETC: (GG:etc), ...).

I don't know about OWB 1.4, but this isn't correct for most, if not all, linux ports that i have tried. I don't have a GG installation/assigns or any IXxxx enviroment variable and everything works fine.
