Is this something I need to worry about, or can we blame it all on Val?

Seems we can blame Val for this one, not setting the fontcache line after changing/adding fonts.

System font flaws don't help, should be a lot easier to add fonts & not worry about a cache setting.

I don't know why it's causing Timberwolf problems..

It would if that font was set in the TW font setting.

@Valiant

Open the Tools menu, then Options/Content/Advanced. I have "allow pages to choose their own font" checked & Western (ISO-8859-1) chosen.

TW seems to have a problem with cache write, crash on quit. I wrote protected the 0-F cache files, so they never get updated, solved the quit crash for me. In the beginning, we were told TW works best on FFS, this has been proven true by me & at least one other. Auto scroll is my only issue now. Posted from TW.

Those of you who use a 6870 in the x1000, how do you like it? The cost of a refurb card is reasonable & it should be faster then my 4850. I do enjoy 3D & videos.

4850 for now, looking at the 6870 when the gfx situation improves, I hope soon.

OK, thanks, I use the altivec version, so will try it (3.1).

Looks like a power supply bypass cap failed, sometimes they just open up, other times they short out when they go. I wouldn't blame it on the PSU, just appeares to be a failed cap, makes a mess, but easy to fix & shouldn't have caused any other dammage if it is.

Polarized caps like those will blow on powerup if their weak, they fail more then any other component because they take a current surge, Always a good idea to power up a system once a month to prevent bypass caps from discharging.

Reminds me to turn on my oscilloscope again, its blown 2 bypass caps letting it sit in storage too long.

Haven't seen any comments about your version on an x1000, on mine it brings up a GR if I try to run it.

That was me, I had a crash log ready to send, but was in a hurry at the time & forgot to attach.

I have been trying to log in, but get an error. Tried to fill out the pw change, but thats not working for me either. I see no way to look at the ticket & paste the crash log.

Not my day I guess.

IBrowse 2.4 & 2.5 both put up a GR, either starting IB or opening a post.

As far as z.lib v53.1, it's an older beta file, there will be no more v52.x updates.

Are all 3 added libs part of MUI now?

@ScottCabit

assign Qt: "SDE:Qt-4.7" ; QT4.7
path Qt:bin ADD
dir sobjs: >NIL: <--add this line
assign sobjs: Qt:lib ADD
setenv PATH $PATH:/qt/bin

Finding out some system directories can't just be assigned too.

@Nuder_Try

Our system has a 2G limit, really makes it hard with newer HD videos. DvPlayer & mui-mplayer both can't handle files over 1.5G on the x1000. Not sure just fixing the memory limit will help much with the players.
