A question. Is there anywhere in the gui where we can just copy/paste a URL to the stream we are listening to. I dont mean link to the page but to the actual stream.

I'll put this in the info window with the next release.

I had to retype this text a second time as first time tunenet locked and also OWB.

Not sure on this one, if you suspect TuneNet (you had a few things running) then you could try dropping the player priority in Prefs (restart TuneNet after doing this).

It's only me, or Tunenet can't handle some m3u ? (Just tryed first one, and have nothing in the list. I check that m3u file inside - classic one. If you in interest i can upload it somethere for tests).

It's possible of course. Can you provide a link so I can investigate? Is it a stream list or local playlist?

And one more problem: when you listen radio, and swith from one to another, sometime it's a bit "jerky" by parts from previous station. I for first think that it's only for me, but today i read that review. And found there the same symptom as i have.

I've never come across this issue in the hours and hours of music I've listened to, but you can try a few things:

1/ Increase the Buffer and Pre Buffer size in the Prefs Radio->General Tab. (For the next version you'll have more of a range on this as well).

2/ Try reducing the players priority a bit in the prefs (requires a TN restart at the moment I'm afraid).

As Chris mentioned, there is an XFade mode which will fade from one tune to another. By default TuneNet uses a gapless mode which always queues the next song up before closing the first. ..Or there is a simple mode which will stop the first song, then start the next.

Bean.

Just using the onboard audio here.

I bought this as a complete system from AmigaKit last month and haven't even opened the case yet.

So, you choice in srec PCM audio and whyle tunenet plays, you press record on SREc, then stop, and tunenet works as before with no problems ?

Exactly. In fact I even recorded several videos in a row like this.

I can't say the quality of audio recorded is particularly good (I am using the "Mixer" as the input line), but it does work - honest

TuneNet is playing - check.

SRec -> 320 x 180 15 frames per second, Xvid 16:9. PCM 16-bit, Stereo, 44100, video to ram:test.avi

.. hit record.... move window.

... hit Stop... Video in ram check.. TuneNet still playing - check.

-- Edit --

AHI Unit 0 CS4281: HiFi 16 bit stereo++, 44100 HZ, 10 Channels, Monitor Muted, Gain 14 db, Input Mixer.

Bean.

@kas1e

Hmmm, I can't reproduce that error here. It works - (I can even post a video with sound to proove it! lol .

However, I did have a problem on my A1XE doing duplex play/record just before the machine bit the dust. I was using some test programs I wrote and after recording I got some playback corruption (just like you mention). I could never work out why it occured, but didn't really have time to investigate.

I cannot reproduce this at all now on my SamFlex with either SRec or my test programs. (In fact now it's working as it should I guess I have no excuse but to implement the Mic plugin... ).

Not sure what to suggest next, what soundcard / HW platform do you have?

Cheers,
Bean.

Heh heh, that expression made me laugh!

I'll look into the issue to see if I can locate what's causing the corruption.

Hi All,

Glad most people are liking this version. I'm scanning most of the forums and posts making note of any issues. Thankfully there are more positives than issues at the moment (that's blown it I'm sure ), which is a relief!

Raziel, Chris - Issues noted - I'm preparing an update.

TuneNet should work fine with the mixer (in either AHI device or Music Unit mode). Can you give me more info as I can't recreate this here?

Bean.

@BillE

Ouch, it sounds like this is corrupted. It should de-archive straight from Unarc. Though you could try to unpack it from the CLI.. I'd kick off another download now. If it is corrupted then you don't really want to install it.

Shame about your download speeds. I can sympathise with you, my Dad lives on the outskirts of greater London and he also gets a measily 512Kb service.

@Antique

Bad weather here is about -4 (according to my Wet icon). There's lots of snow and ice outside, and I've done my fair share of digging cars out in my road this week, but it's not that bad.

On Wednesday and Thursday everybody must have stayed at home as my 50 minute journey to work only took 30 through the snow and ice!!

Still a lot of people travel a long way to ANT, and the roads are pretty bad as everyone is running out of grit. I'm lucky, I'm just 15 minutes drive away.

Bean.

@kas1e

There are a few example skins with the main archive to show the basics and also a very very very rough bit of text in the docs drawer detailing some of the XML elements.

Edit

There is also some examples of what is possibile here : http://www.tunenet.co.uk/skindevelopment.html

..and some pointers to downloads on this page:

http://www.tunenet.co.uk/download.html

I really need to write a detailed document at some point.

Hi,

The skin system has always supported custom width and height and free resizing :) Of course it all depends on how the skin was built.

The fair was excellent!

Considering the time of year and the non central location (in the UK) I thought the turn out was pretty decent.

Special thanks to Mikey for lending me his Amiga to demo TuneNet on (my one died last week).

...and special thanks to AmigaKit for having new Flex systems ready for me to purchase on the day (hooray!).

..and hello to all the people I chatted with on the day.

Cheers,
Bean.

@samo79

Yep, the skin system still functions and works fine - you can use existing skins.

You can use the existing plugins as well, theough the base set have all been updated.

@Kas1e,

Not much work has been done on the SkinFX system, I was concentrating on other areas. However, a few SkinFX bugs were addressed, and now that the general stability and performance is better I can look once again into it.

That's not to say you can't do anything with the current SkinFX, it's still pretty versatile in its current form!

Cheers,
Bean
