Re: Classic Amiga PARNET on OS4 is it possible?

@magnetic

What *does* work is a classic nullmodem serial connection and a terminal program. I did this with my Pegasos II and my Amiga 2000 systems. You can use Term (remember a updated bgui.library!), Termie or Transfer_S (see Aminet and/or OS4Depot). Beware: Both my Amiga 2000 feature Multiface cards - I won't recommend the internal serial port of the Amigas...

@ddni

- With a new version of Wordworth I would be happier...still my favorite word processor.
- Still running Update 6 and I don't have any DSI on startup. Maybe WW doesn't find something (fonts, settings) and this triggers the DSI?

@thellier

Usually I donate where ever I can (though the last year was one without any donations from my side - due to temporary "AmigaOS inactivity"). I must admit that I personally don't mind whether it's a "donation" or a "shareware fee". I pay/donate for useful utilities since ages.

Nevertheless I can understand that "formalizing" this situation via a *store can/will prevent at least some people from spending some money. Classic "bpw" act ("behind pay wall")).

Ah, never mind. I live in "Old Europe", too (just exchange cheese with Sauerkraut ).

Hey, mate - same here: My systems are packed since 6 months for the same reason...still don't know when I'll be able to set them up again. But the house needs more care atm...
Maybe we both will (hopefully) reappear in September...

My *main* use case for UAE is emulating a full RTG/AmigaOS 3.9 backup from my Amiga 2000's - so p96 support is essential. I would donate immediately!

That "crappy browser" is still my main web browser (combined with OWBUtilities tool set), that does more or less everything I need. It's fast, rather light weighted and still has the best font rendering from all available alternatives.

Re: Basilisk 1.0 beta testing

Hi, I must admit that I didn't follow this thread in deep. I tried to use the latest BasiliskII (1.0.3) with my current BasisliskII setup (i.e. PRAM, .prefs and my usual MacOS hardfiles), but didn't succeed.

It doesn't even boot from my MacOS hardfile (only grey "screen"), which works since years without any hassle with my old BasiliskII (0.93). Any ideas?
