Re: Feature Requests for TuneNet
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

First off, let me add my appreciation for the work put into TuneNet!

There is one thing I noticed recently: TuneNet could really use the
ability to sort the playlist by DATE. The need arises if one is trying
to play a CD's worth of MP3's. Without such a search, entries are not
loaded in the order of the CD but Alphabetical.

I'd appreciate it. And thanks again, Paul!

Hi All,

A minor graphical quibble here... While the home pqage is looking great,
could the recent topics page please be improved with some background
colors, etc?

Right now it just comes up with the default page color (tan?) and with
no shading, topic by topic. Maybe the individual topics could get the
alternating white/tan (table?) fills one sees on the home page's topics
list?

Thanks,

@crumb

Your work on Basilisk sounds great... Sorry your 4000's illness
got in the way.

I would be very interested in testing it out on my A1. Please let
me know if you'd like another betatester! Otherwise, it would be
great if you could post a progress snapshot to OS4Depot.

For many years. I ran Shapeshifter with various productivity apps
(CAD, Word, etc) demanded for work. I think folks underestimate
the possible productivity crutch classic Mac emulations offer
(particularly a PPC Mac) till we get new Amiga productivity apps.

Ever take a look at Sheepshaver? Without a 68k emulator, might it
be an easier(?) "next step"?

Thanks!

@Sister Rita

No info on dates.

FWIW, I know better than to ask for hard dates from developers.
I know these guys are all working hard on projects with no money
(and little promise of future mountains of money).

Under real world conditions and those limitations, schedules are
the first thing to slip.

But look at the flip side, even MicroSloth blew their schedules by
what? Two Years? And they had a bajillion times the resources
to plow into a substantially sloppier target.

c'est la vie,

@All

The information presented in that table is simply what I boiled down
from all the PUBLIC information I could find. Some of it is even
confirmed with some of the hardware developers.

I have attempted to present no whatsoever claims regarding licensing
- that's for the developers and Amiga Inc to announce. The table
just reflects the announced intent of these developers to run Amiga
OS and (even) to get licenses.

@tonyw

Geez... I'm sorry for the Troika typo... Looks like there's my first
revision for an upcoming v1.4 of the table!

@RomanceClip

No proprietary information is divulged in this table.

Thanks all,

Next Gen Amiga OS Hardware Comparison
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

Hi guys,

Over the last few months a number of pieces of hardware have been
proposed and/or shown for use with OS4. I have compiled all the
information I could find into a (Work In Progress) Table of
Comparison, which should be attached to this post.

I hope this helps in seeing what is/might be coming soon and how
things stack up with each other. Please let me know if you have
any suggestions, modifications, more information, etc.

Thanks,

PJS
