Re: Question about Using FryingPan

@tldaley
No, actually I was using the "Data/Audio Tracks" tab.
Why call it "DATA/Audio Tracks" if it can only be used for audio tracks?
I will try it with the "ISO Builder" though.

Question about Using FryingPan

I just downloaded and registered FryingPan for OS4.
I'm trying to create a CD with a bunch of MP3s, but it thinks that I want to make an AudioCD, so it tells me that I do not have enough space on the CD and doesn't let me burn it.
Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Does anyone (Chris) know if it is possible to add a Real Audio plug-in for TuneNet? (Perhaps using RAPlay in some way?)

Does anyone know if any progress is being made to allow us ?A1 owners to use our PCI slot for an additional video card, sound card, etc.?

That would seem to be possible using OS 4.0 Final, since MultiView renders PNG graphics with their alpha-channels.

@Bean
Thanks for this new release!
How does this AmiUpdate support work?
Also, is there a system in place (or coming soon) to find album art, or should we download it manually?

I'm not sure if this is the right time or place for this question, but...
Now that Amiga OS 4.0 final has been released, can those coupons that AInc was selling be redeemed? If so, how?

I have the same flashing triangle problem on my ?A1 (Radeon 7000).

A further complication, ...I mean "enhancement," would be to allow the user to predefine certain screenblankers to be used when certain applications are ACTIVE (not just open). For instance, if IBrowse is open, but I am currently using PageStream, it would be cool if I could define a special blanker for PageStream. But then, if I start using IBrowse (with PageStream still open on its own screen), there could be a different screenblanker that would begin (maybe even one with an IBrowse logo). But going back to the original idea...it would be cool if the SubSpace screen blanker could be set to be used only when TuneNet is playing music (but not necessarily actively selected).

@Chris
Ken did such a good job on the first set; I would recommend asking him again. However, since he does not have access to an OS4 machine (and the new icon library), he may not want to.

Configure your tooltypes in Prefs/DefIcons to fix your problem. (I also like using the "AUTO" tooltype.)

Special Screenblankers for Special Occasions

Would it be possible to have OS4 use one screenblanker by default, but another one when a certain program is running?
It would be cool to be able to have your favorite blanker used most of the time, but then have the SubSpace blanker used when TuneNet is active.
Any ideas how this could be accomplished?

@Mitch and nubechecorre I got a zalman VF700-CU, but I would NOT recommend it because it requires some screw modifications to make it work. I would, however recommend this one: http://www.swiftnets.com/products/mcx159-CU.asp

Hi nubechecorre,
I had the same problem with playing DVDs on my ?A1 until I put a better heatsink and fan on the CPU.
I would stronly urge you to try improving the cooling to your CPU and see how much more stable OS4 becomes.
