@pvanni

Actually in the latest version on OS4 Depot (2.3), the hot-zones for left, right, top, and bottom only begin 20 pixels away from the corners.

@acefnq

Thanks for the encouragement (and beta-testing). Now I just need some more ideas for enhancement.
It should not be difficult to add Scott's suggestion; but it would be nice if I could wrap up a few other enhancements into the next upload.

Ideas anyone?

@ScottCabit

Glad that you like the program.

I assume that you would like the hot-spot to be more than just one pixel in width and height. The way that I would probably implement your request would be to allow the user to set parameters for X and Y (being the upper left corner of the hot-spot) and also the desired width and height for the hot-spot.

Would this suit your needs?

@orgin

Thanks for posting the updates (and sorry for not catching all of the bugs in one go).

2.3 should really be downloaded by everyone interested in using Mac-Like Dock (it includes fixes for some serious bugs that revealed themselves in certain instances).

@All

Please do not download the most recent "Mac-Like Dock" (version 2.0 or 2.1). I fixed one problem, and uploaded a new version, but I just noticed some other problems.

I will try to have a new version (2.2) available soon. Until then, don't bother downloading what is currently available on OS4 Depot.

Thanks,

Removing an Obsolete File

Can an OS4 Depot staff member remove CornerClock from OS4 Depot files? The newly uploaded BenchBoards can be used as a CornerClock replacement; but since it also does much more than CornerClock, I didn't know if I should use the "replace file" option.

Thanks,

@Chris

Mine is the standared Radeon 7000 that comes with the ?A1; and I use the tooltype INTERRUPT=YES (though INTERRUPT=NO also seems to work).

Kurt Grach seems to be selling one

I ordered the 512Meg one from him a year or two ago, and have had no problems at all. E-mail him first, though.

@Severin

I agree, the size of Hollywood apps are surprisingly large when compiled. (Uncompiled, they are pretty small).

Thankfully, though their sizes would qualify them as being "bloated," Hollywood apps do still seem to run fast enough; and Hollywood is simply a fantastic program for easy coding/scripting of applications that have some nice eye-candy connected with them. I highly recommend Hollywood 2.5 to anyone even somewhat interested in creating such things---you will not be disappointed (unless file sizes approaching 1 meg make you shudder).

@All

Thanks for the encouraging words. I'll try to release another version soon that uses some of the suggestions that I've received so far.

___ Paul ___

Edit:
BTW, I just uploaded a new and improved (though still bloated) version of CornerClock (1.2). Enjoy!

Edit 2:
I just uploaded a new version of Mac-Like Dock (1.1). This version adds the option for a slower rotation, and fixes the problem of deactivating the selected program after launch.

@nubechecorre

You do not need to edit the "StartHotZone" icon at all. However, the "WBStartupHotZone" (the file you place in your WBStartup drawer) is simply a text file that you can edit with NotePad or any text editor.

Could some one please add "pngalpha_lib 2.0" to the "Requirements" field of png_editing_suite.lha?

Also could "glowmaker.lha" and "pngiconscale.lha" and "acs.lha" be deleted from OS4 Depot? (These tools have been updated and wrapped up in the png_editing_suite.)

Thanks,

Temporary Problem with the Newest AmigaScrapbook
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

It was just reported to me that the latest AmigaScrapbook does not work without the newest pngalpha.lib that was included with the latest Hollywood (2.5). Andreas has said that he is going to be uploading that library to Aminet very soon.

You actually can still use AmigaScrapbook without this library as long as none of your pictures in the main "Pictures" drawer are ones with alpha-channels (having ALPHA in the picture name just before the extension).
The new library is really only necessary for saving resized png pictures with alpha-channels. (This is the case with one of the sample pictures included). Everything should work fine with any other picture type. So you can just remove all pictures from the main "Pictures" drawer that have ALPHA in the title just before the extension; or just wait for Andreas to upload the newest pngalpha library.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
