@Thematic
Nope, "ignore mouse" is not enabled, just double checked that in the ScreenBlanker prefs and Tooltypes.

Think I found another bug in Upd.2 - ScreenBlanker.

After ScreenBlanker kicks in and do it's thing then go to standby mode(black screen) I can't go back to Workbench when moving the mouse.

What works is Left Amiga key + m.
Normal behaviour or a bug?

@Skateman
No lockups over here what so ever except if I disable GUI effects then total freeze of my X5000.

Do you have an fresh install or installed over old X5000 install?

Thumbs up!
Don't know why but it must be something with the gfx in the Updater window.

@derfs
Updater(A-Eon) not AmiUpdate(Rigo/Hyperion)

Edit: Sorry saw what you replied to now.
But yeah, the Amiupdate prefs file on the AmigaOS4.1FE Update 1 ISO(X5000 ISO) is broken, just delete Sys:Prefs/Env-Archive/update.prefs or download the archive from AmiUpdate site as derfs said.

To all of you with Updater lockups with Amiga OS 4.1FE update 2 -
do you have Sys:Prefs/GUI/Effects enable or disabled?

I tested this and get a total freeze with it disabled.

Sorry for a little offtopic, but still Amiga wifi related.

I use my Mac Mini as a way to get wifi on my X5000.
Just a x-connected lan cable between Mac/X5000 and setup up wifi Internet sharing on the Mac side.

"Cheap solution"(if you own a Mac) and it has worked great over the past 4 years!

And I use TwinVNC for accesing the Mac from AmigaOS.

@walkero

Not an bad idea, have thought about it my self over the last couple of weeks.

OR make a demoscene competition out of it and make em compete for the 1:st place bounty,
then we will have a couple of extremely SUPER efficient browsers, no joke! :D

Re: X5000 No Longer Booting OS4!
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

@AcillClassics
As a fellow X5000 owner, I'm happy you got it working again!

Only once in 4 years time my X5000 shut down and that was on a very hot summer day,
so the MCU overheat warn works at least.

You said you had yours disconnected and then reconnected to mains and it didn't work right?
But then suddenly it works again makes me wonder too like @LiveForIt if something like a cold solder joint somewhere is the problem.

Edit: I understand that you bought it as a complete system and not just the motherboard to build it yourself right?
If I where you I would check that there isn't an "extra" standoff mounted in the case behind the board.
Just speculation, but I was extra carefull with that when I built my own X5000 since a friend of mine had done that mistake on his PC build.
And why I do suspect this is the change of gfx cards(push, pull).

Just ripped a couple of CD's, everything seems to be working fine now with the new p50x0sata.device/vsata.device, no more duplicates when switching CD.
