This looks like a great, professional package. Thanks Andy for all your hard work!
I'll check it out this weekend. I'm a terrible artist, but I often do a bit of image manipulation in ArtEffect; it will be great to have modern PPC native software to work with.
Does it use the full amount of memory from the GFX card, as per the updated drivers? Apologies if you answer this in the narration, I'm watching the video at work with the sound off.

I believe it's currently not possible with p5020sata.device . I think other people have had success by adding a sata card and connecting a drive to that, although I don't think you'll be able to boot from the drive.
There is probably more info on the Hyperion board.

That's OK by me!
@Severin
Sorry, I'm still getting the same error. Perhaps upload to OS4 Depot?

Hmm, I get
File "python:scripts/CreateDrawer.py", line 2
SyntaxError: Non-ASCII character '\xa0' in file python:scripts/CreateDrawer.py on line 2, but no encoding declared; see http://www.python.org/peps/pep-0263.html for details
So I guess there's still a copy paste problem.

Thank you for the replies. This is what I've landed on.
/* Create Drawer V2*/
Parse Arg Args
IF Left(Args,1)='"' THEN Parse Var Args '"'File'" 'Drawer
ELSE Parse Var Args File' 'Drawer
Drawer=Strip(Drawer,,'"')
chars = length(File)
newdir = left(File,chars-4)
newdir2 = space(newdir,1,'_')
address command
cd Drawer
makedir newdir2
Exit
Is also replaces the spaces with underscores. @xenic I've thought about expanding it so it checks that it's an archive, checks whether or not is has an existing directory, and even launching unarc to finish the job. I don't know C though.

Help with Arexx Script

Hi everyone, I was hoping someone could give me some tips with an arexx script I'm working on. I often receive or download archives that have files inside them that aren't in a directory. I have to create an archive to file the contents, so I wanted to write an arexx script that takes the archive name, snips off the last 4 characters (the suffix) and creates a folder with that name.
/* Create Folder*/
parse arg file drawer
address command
chars = length(file)
newdir = left(file,chars-4)
cd drawer
makedir newdir
I'm calling it from Filer with rx CreateDrawer.rexx {ou} {d} , where {ou} is the selected archive and {d} is the current dir. The script works fine, however it gets broken by empty spaces in the filename. It looks like when it reaches a space in the filename, it stops reading, so "Customer images Sept 2019.zip" gets parsed as simply "Customer". Because it snips off the last 4 characters, if there's less than 4 characters in front of a space, the result is an error. Does anyone know a way around this?

How about a config item that allows the user to choose?

Try switching it on and leaving it for a while. I believe what happens during boot up is the card does some PCI initisation. Some cards take a while to initialise.
Many years back I bought a Radeon 9250 256MB for my A1XE. Installed it, booted, got nothing but a blank screen.
Oh well, I thought, sitting there sadly...
But after about 30 seconds or so, uBoot came up and the machine booted.
So it takes a while to boot, but it does work.

Hmmm... looks like it could be an XFX Radeon 7850, which isn't listed on Hans' site. The Club 3D version is listed as working, but the Sapphire version is listed as not working (but I think that is mine, which I initially reported as not working but eventually got it to work).
However, it could also be the 7870, which is listed as not working.

Can you post a picture of the board? Someone might be able to identify it and from there we can figure out if it should be compatible.

Ah, your X5000 should have come with a network card already. There isn't a driver yet for onboard ethernet, so AFAIK all dealers are supplying one.

Daylight saving started last night, and the "enhanced" Time Prefs failed to cope with it.
I don't understand why its so difficult - the standard OS4.1 TimePrefs does.
My Locale specifies when daylight saving starts and ends. Why does the "enhanced" Time Prefs ignore this and default to a hardcoded daylight saving setting (for the northern hemisphere)?

@walkero
I'm not sure if the AmigaOne XE and MicroA1 use the same uBoot, but I have 1.1.4 on my A1XE.
I got it from a user on (I think) AmigaWorld.
I understand there were some problems with it, which is (partly) why it wasn't released, although the only problems I have seen is that (a) with the 3114, only channels 1 & 3 are visible to uBoot (not a big problem) (b) the menus sometimes look messed up (cosmetic) and (c) uBoot Prefs doesn't recognise the new values added for SATA, so you have to set the boot devices either by command line or from the "fancy video menu" in uBoot.

@walkero
Which version uBoot do you have?
The last official uBoot doesn't support booting from SATA (any SATA interface), only ide (either internal or PCI).
There is an unofficial uBoot that does support it.

I have found my clock sometimes changes to GMT, Enhancer TimePrefs does nothing to automatically change it back.
