@ChrisH Well, as I forwareded a couple of months ago, I really like your proggy, and using exif jpgs is really fast and good. I like that. What about beeing able to multiselect images, so that one can copy a whole bunch to another directory. This could then perfectly fit in with this one: www.geobiz.de/ibatch.htmlThis soft can use external thumbnailviewer instead of its own (basic) build in one. Shouldn't be too difficult to make it compatible ? If you have further questions just donnot hestitate to ask either here or PM. greetings gerograph

@HammerD sure, you can try it, it is for free anyway... just in case you want to try it before anybody else, then watch the website and register. A free copy of iBatch will then be sent by mail, prior to release on Aminet !

@Snuffy I did iBatch 1.0 with Amiblitz 3.5. iBatch is not a huge project, but the outcome is stable and fast on my SAM440ep (I refrain from publishing iBatch homepage here again... . I am a newcomer to Amiblitz Basic, and it was really easy to learn. Got also heaps of "includes" making it very very easy to program. I am actually not that much of a coder anyway expect on windows a bit... AmiBlitz 3.5 is not really a Basic like language... cannot really describe. Just donnot forget to set Debugger on Blacklist !!! greetings gerograph

@Rogue Quote: "OOo" is frequently used as an acronym for "OpenOffice.org" which is AFAIK the official name for Open Office. But wouldn't it then be hosted on www.OpenOffice.org ? Plus Open Office on AOS 3.x ? I doubt it, still you are right, OO stands for OpenOffice, but in this case it looks more like "OOooo cool..." sort of thing.

@Mrodfr Thanks.... @mbrantley I actually did it the reverse way... made a short clip with my Videocamera and devided it into JPGS using 1) ffmpeg + ffmpegGUI Converted them to iff/ilbm using 2) iBatch Made an iff anim with 3) ppaint Used the whole thing in a hollywood presentation: http://www.geobiz.de/Download.htmO.k. back to iBatch: I am the developer of this programm, on the above website and on OS4depot you can find an old arexx based script with GUI, but I suggest you use the current beta wich is completly redeveloped. The beta works fine and is nearly in release stage, but if you encounter any problems or think some functionallity should be added feel free to contact me at birkenfeld /at/ geobiz /dot/ de. IBatch can 1) Batchconvert iff images into JPG, PNG, BMP 2) rename/renumber output images (renumberformat is currently only 3digits format (eg. image_001, image_002...) this could be changed/added though. So check out the thread Mrodfr suggested: http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/v ... t=0&viewmode=flat&order=0 greetings gerograph

@Lecta yep thankyou... BTW is the expansion board with audio/usb/VGA connectors still on hold ? Wouldn't it be a good solution to go into production ?
@all ... but doesn't help me, I think there is a bit of missing knowledge. How do I connect a mic and linein to the SAM ? Can anybody help here ?

@vox
Besides FAT, you can read and write EXT2 with EXT2Filesystem available on aminet. Works great for my Linuxpartition I have on my SAM. NTFS can be read, but not written to. Cannot remember how that one was called, check Aminet. Did not test it on OS4.x though. I've got it running on my OS3.9 based MediaCenter in order to read NTFS formated USB Harddrives with MP3 on it... It is a bit hard to mount it with poseidon...

@Mikey_C Hey folks, I did not meant to critizise that the meeting/exhibition was held in a Marquee.. you did an excellent job Mikey_C. I just thought it might have been better to choose something else for a world premier. But this is up to A-Eon to decide which location fits to their marketing strategy/idea. For now A1X1000 seems to aim to retro/scene people. Those were probably the biggest groupt attending the show. Not saying this is wrong (for the moment) cannot even judge about future (lets say when X1000 gets delivered to endusers/hits the market) because I donnot know how small the Amiga Market really is, and when break even will be reached. I am just afraid, that the existing Amigamarket is not enough for a break even or higher return on invest. Hope the marketing is well thought through, and not sort of "lets do this today and something totally different tommorow". All "puplic actions" (fairs, tradeshows, presentations, web presence incl. teasers etc.) will have effects, which you should be aware of beforehand.
Anyway, would have been great, if I just could have been there. Hope I can make it to the show in Essen/Germany. Looking forward to X1000 !!!
