Re: AmigaOS4 support
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

Hi!

I found that some of the shell commands does not
follow the same style guide.

10.work:>sort ?
sort: open failed: ?: No such file or directory

However this way working:

10.Work:Web/www.tekalasz.hu/Data> sort --help
Usage: sort [OPTION]...

The same happens with dir.

EDIT:

I did not know about sdk:local/c is in the path and it has
some file with the same name as c: which works other way.

Sorry for the incompetence.

bye!

I am thinking about the Trashcan concept...
It seems that not allowed to drag&drop items from other volumes.
To be really useful, it maybe a good place for trashcan on the
backdrop window.
However as I can see, 'leave out' is not work for it.
It is ghosted in the wb menu.

If the above is fit in the concept, then the contextmenu should ghost leave out for trashcans.

Bye!

Hi!

Another small perception:

Start calculator from a command line
and iconify.

The icon image of the iconifyed Calculator is
the default tool icon instead of the program's icon.

Hi Chip!

Here is something about the rewriteable dvd handling:

- make sure dvdmrw: is mounted
- put an e.g. nero-formatted DVD+RW in to the drive
- a cd icon will pop up...
- run Sys:system/formatcdrw
- use quick format on the disk
- formatting takes some time...
- a new disk icon is showing

and the problem is:
the old icon of the disk does not disappear
until an eject.

No, I did not leaved any disk window opened.

Please try it on a beta system and share
your foundings with us.

Thanks your help!

Bye

When I try to download a .lha file from OS4Depot with AWeb the filename in the ASL requester is always 'download.php'. Is this a problem with OS4Depot or do I need to correct a configuration in AWeb?

There are other sites too where the same happens with Aweb.
e.g.: www.c64.com
